I'm disappointed because it appears that someone tried to pass off a customer return as brand new. Someone may have also used a post-production tie to reattach the tag. DO NOT BUY if you don't want to get a used item. br>br>Tools get used, dirty, and dull, but I wasn't expecting that when I purchased this item!.
as well as a set for myself. Each one is made of the finest hardened metals, and each chisel comes with a handy hand-guard. Simply hit your hand with a small sledge hammer as it slips off a "standard" Chisel [operator being a little careless]. You'll wish you had one of these high-quality hand guards to keep your hand from getting hurt. br>br>As previously stated, I have purchased a large number of FatMax hand tools. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the quality is consistently excellent. One of my sons works as a Building Construction Engineer, while the other works as a Construction Professional. On a weekly basis, these tools are used. The Fat Max products are a hit with everyone. This Chisel, as well as the entire Stanly FatMax line of hand tools, comes highly recommended.
So far, it's been great and does a great job. Because I'm not very good at swinging a hammer and hitting the head of a chisel, it keeps my hand from getting hurt. I'm pleased with my purchase, but I should have bought it sooner rather than later after hitting my hand with the hammer eight times before deciding to look for a chisel like this. I don't think I'm very bright.
After that, WACK! You should be able to get a nice straight cut out of it. Bricks are inexpensive, so keep that in mind. The only way to get to Carnegie Hall is to practice, practice, practice.
This is a fantastic tool. br>Excellently created- Whacking your hand with a hammer is nearly impossible. br>Strong steel and good weight. I recommend that you look up some instructions on how to cut bricks on YouTube. br>Use this chisel to measure, mark, and cut the mark (on all four sides) with smart hammer taps. br>After that, set it on edge, insert this tool into the chiseled mark, and whack it harder. br>Brick should be cut cleanly and precisely where you want it.
It does exactly what it is supposed to do.
I bought it to help break up some bricks while I was tearing down my 50-year-old front steps. It served its purpose admirably and appears to be sturdy and well-made. made.
The steel was extremely hard and cut well.
