You can concentrate more on where you put the chisel, and if you miss with the hammer, you won't smack your hand; based on the marks on the guard (which is made of a rubbery plastic and surrounds the metal part that you strike), I would have struck myself a few times. The tool's overall design - a chisel, a handle, and a base it's excellent Well- made.
With the exception of Granite stone, it will work perfectly. Limestone, slate, and marble are all good choices.
It has a soft rubber grip for better control, as well as a chip-resistant rubber and plastic guard. The chisel has a large tip that makes slicing pavers and chiseling concrete a breeze.
Works perfectly, and it was exactly what I needed to remove some tile that had been glued to the floor with the incorrect adhesive!.
Finally, I can remove the mortar from old bricks without ever hitting a finger! This is an excellent suggestion.
The hand guard slides up after a while, which is a shame because this is an excellent chisel.
On concrete, did a great job.
