Yes, I've used it on extremely hard stone while rock hounding, and the point is extremely tough and can withstand a lot of abuse.

a lack of quality control Dasco is usually a great product, but I'm disappointed with this one because the grind is so off and the cutting edge is off to one side, making it look more like a pry bar than a cold chisel

This is a fantastic cold chisel. With the use of a sledge hammer, I was able to effectively break up concrete.

Despite some negative reviews, I'm pleasantly surprised. I've been using Dasco Pro long chisels for about 40 years, and this is by far the worst I've ever seen. It'd be like attempting to cut through a sewer trap's brass cap with a tire iron, which might be even sharper. To put it another way, it's not sharp at all, but rather blunt. br>I just got it, but I've already ordered a replacement, and I'm hoping for a better one than the defective, worthless piece of steel I got the first time.
