Questions & Answers

Are you able to use a puncture pin with this product?

I'm glad to know that. This is what I just got through re-reading A lot of work went into caulking my RV and puncturing the tube. Despite my desire for a small bead, I couldn't find anything thin and long enough for it to puncture.

Can this be used with the 28 ounce cannisters of liquid nails?

Caulk guns of this type are usually 11 inches long, according to the description. The diameter of a 28 ounce tube is 16 1/4 inches, including the tip. The total length is 12 1/2 inches if the tube is not included. Just based on the numbers. It is not big enough for this gun.

am unable to get the caulk tube to insure! The caulk gun with the button for releasing pressure or loading the caulk tube is the first time I've seen one with that feature. ?

You may have written what you meant, but I am not certain. In contrast to the other guns I have used, this gun does NOT have a button to release the bar that applies There is something incredibly clever about this mechanism You can pull back to loading the tube as well as push it in. Whenever you let go of the trigger, I was the first individual who had used a gun that automatically released caulk pressure. These are great and I have purchased more than one of them. the caulk tip with a cutter on the gun, use the attached wire to poke a hole through the seal in the tube, pull the gun so that it is fully extended, insert the Start with the back end, push the bar to snug it up, and you are ready to go.

There are no buttons behind the back of the grip on this gun. What do you think? Is it a flaw and should we return it?

There are no buttons behind the back of the grip on this gun. There is a square cutout on the back grip, and it will be noticed that when you use the cutter on the cartridge tip, the cutoff will fall out when you use it. Our factory uses these on its assembly line and the guys really like how smooth they are. My sincerest thanks to Dwight for providing this information

What Could Be More Deserving Than A 5 Star Caulking Gun? Never in a million years did I expect to write an honorable 5 star review for a caulking gun
5/5

In my long career as an avid do-it-yourselfer, and a woman at that, I have done many tasks requiring caulking. Nevertheless I always purchased the big box caulking guns on the cheap, believing they couldn't make any As it happens, most of our windows needed to be recaulked and this was added to our bill as an optional My primary concern was the "C" shaped handle that would enable me to mount the gun on a ladder while I used it. There is so much more to this product! The padded handles are a comfort to my arthritic hands, which are over 55 years old. An additional advantage is that it does not require a lot of hand strength to operate. Having the "C" shaped handle on the caulking gun and allowing it to hang multiple places on the ladder saves a lot of bending over to pick it up again. It is non-invasive, which is the best thing about it A ratchet type of mechanism, so that when you hold it back, it does the same! Even after pulling back the handle, there is no longer any caulk pulsing out from the tip. With this gun, there's no need to do that! As long as you push while pushing the handle, the caulk continues to flow smoothly. When you let go, it stops flowing but continues to work perfectly. Nonetheless, I think the few extra dollars I paid over the cheapo types I had purchased for years was well worth it. If I were to buy it again, I would definitely do so.

It is unimaginable how different things are
5/5

It's a new beginning for me as a caulker. Caulking would have never occurred to me anywhere near a million years ago that I would enjoy it. We have been putting in new floors, windows, and door molding in our house. I have seriously left all of the seams uncaulked and unpainted. Due to my dread of caulking, I have not painted since last summer. As a result, I bought a battery/electric caulk gun even though the situation had not improved. A couple of weeks ago, I tried that as well as a cheap big box store one, but I was almost in tears thinking I would have to caulk the whole house (including crown molding). As a result, I looked at Amazon reviews and found this, and since I had nothing to lose, I bought The sky is falling. Oh my gosh. Since I discovered caulking, I've loved it a lot. The house has gaps in it, so I'm walking around looking for them. It's true what they say, this thing rocks. It's now a dream to use the same tube of caulk (not just the same time, but the same tube itself) that was giving me so much grief two weeks ago. I didn't encounter a single drip, and I could smooth out the lines with my finger tip within a second (it's a lot slicker than using any of those plastic/silicon This is an awesome product. Please buy it!.

This is junk
3/5

It's not just that I'm old, but that I have owned dozens of caulk guns and this is, by far, the worst. The problem is that there is no ratchet on the push bar. The caulk must be pushed out more forcefully if it is caulked at a small bead. The push bar slides down the bar as you squeeze the trigger, pushing nothing in return. It would be better if a high school kid designed. It was not an exotic caulk that I was using. As far as silicone caulk goes, I've used DAP silicone for years.

Don't miss out on this great deal! THE UPDATE IS We just bought another one of these caulking guns
5/5

We still have the first one and it's holding up well after almost two years of It was only a fresh backup that was needed. You have fired 450 - 500 rounds at least It has been through 500 tubes of caulk and it still works like a charm

BEST CAULK GUN ON THE MARKET. PURE AND SIMPLE. Here in Central Florida, I run a small business that focuses on property rehab and handyman services. The gun is of high quality and I purchased it about 5 months ago. As I use various adhesives and caulks several times a week, I use this item frequently. The flow stops as soon as the trigger is let go. There is not a lot of ooze to speak of other than some less viscous substances such as Liquid Nails, etc. The release stops the flowing altogether if you release the lever (and only a small bead at the end of the tip, mostly). A caulking gun like this is much better than what you would find in a big box store, or even at a neighborhood hardware store. You can buy with confidence when you use this link. Caulk will no longer be wasted! I have no dislikes at all! It's wonderful to see how much enjoyment my husband gets out of All the old caulk guns I used to use always released too much extra caulk after you have squeezed the gun to the point of finishing
5/5

I definitely don't agree with this one! Due to the pressure of the tube of caulk, a little leakage is normal. Nevertheless, this is the one that my husband has raved about, even on his Facebook.

This is an essential tool when applying elastomeric sealants
5/5

As I caulked my bathrooms and I put the silicone caulk on A 160 was the channel I used last year for outside windows With the 20 Caulk Gun, you can use pressure-proof caulks The latch should be released. It might prove helpful to a contractor to use that caulk gun thanks to its study pressure I created a mess while fumbling to stop the flow of caulk, as the gun continued to spray while I fumbled to pull the pressure release latch. My baseboards needed to be sealed with Big Stretch elastomeric sealant, and we were advised to use a dripless caulk gun. It is part of the Newborn 930-series Drip Grow Your Own Drip Caulking Gun Free Smooth Hex Rod Cradle was an Amazon bestseller and an incredibly popular product It was bought It was a companion item to Big Stretch, so I ordered it as well. It was very easy to handle the Newborn caulk gun Specifically, when you release the trigger pressure, the flow stops immediately every time. For the application of an elastomeric sealant and caulking gun that cure quickly, the caulk gun is an excellent tool to control the amount of flow and the size of the beads. The device has been used for almost 5 hours straight without any pain to my hands, and My thumb is only slightly sore I even purchased this caulk gun at a discount of $3 off what I paid last year. It's another reason why I would have picked the Newborn for that type of job if I had known about the handling. Due to the controlled flow, there was a lot less waste, and I finished the baseboard job in under a tenth of the time it would have taken me otherwise. There are 5 ounces of it. This tube of Big Stretch is for muscle stretching. This product works great and I noticed results after the first usage. I will use it whenever I need to The caulk gun can be used to handle DIY jobs in the future.
