The clippers I got were different from the ones I ordered. Each came packaged in the same manner and was labelled the same way. I am using an avocado clipper and it works perfectly it is greased well, and the spring is strong enough to open it up again. One has curved blades, while the other has straight ones. It still wouldn't open the arms after I greased it with lubricant, so I had to manually open it back up, which was a slow process. The two I bought online were not the same quality but I tried to save money by getting two and ended up with Click on the image to enlarge As I expected both of these to be received, I chose the one on the left. he has a tough time selling products. I will not buy it.
It works just as it should. I wish the manufacturer was able to have a picture of how to use the strap on their own site or on Amazon. By way of example, you can rotate the strap so that you insert your 'pointer' finger through it so that the clipper basically hangs from your finger between cuts, and also rotate the strap so that the nut points away from the strap, not digging into Citrus fruits that do not separate from the branch when twisted are good candidates for this setting.
The snips provide excellent results and are the right size to get into citrus trees with thick branches. The handles are small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, making clipping easier while hanging off the side of a 15' ladder with one hand on the fruit and one hand clipping the fruit. hinge screw is not equipped with a locknut, which is the only design flaw. This hinge is threaded through a nut that is provided by the manufacturer. During the cutting process, the snips can be tightened or loosened as needed. So that I can set the tightness and looseness of the snips, I had to drill out the threads on both snip arms and use a locknut on the screw.
A leather strap was missing from the item when it arrived! Another unit has arrived to be replaced. There is no leather strap as well. With Corona, the spring force is stronger (lighter) and the weight is much lighter.
I have no idea what the strap is used Having a knob on the end of the stem keeps cutting blades from getting lost.
