Hello, I'm not the one who sells these items! However, Michael's has foam to work with. Foam is all there is! You can also inquire if the picker's manufacturer sells replacement foam. 2U, I wish you the best of luck.
Metal has been used to construct it. Because it is so strong, I don't believe it's aluminum. It performs admirably.

The only disadvantage is that the pole you're attacking it with can't be too thick, or you won't be able to clamp it down. If it's too thin, you won't be able to clamp it down tightly enough. However, a filler, in our case a piece of wood, can be added to a thin pole to make it work and provide a sufficient claming force. It was used for mango picking. I had an extendable aluminum pole, but it was too thick to use, so we had to settle for a paint roller pole, which wasn't as long and couldn't reach the height I needed. It's well-made and appears to be long-lasting.
I bought a similar picker/with extension pole from Home Depot a few months ago, but it separated the weld from the base after the first use. It was returned because the catcher and pole cost more than $50. br>This basket is of much higher quality, with a thicker gauge than the one I previously purchased, and the welded bracket is much better than the previous one. I took an old paint extension pole and added a couple of screws to widen it to accommodate the basket closure, as well as tightening the collar, and it now works perfectly.
On Amazon, this appears to be the best deal for a reliable fruit picker with quick shipping. For fragile fruit, a well-made rubberized metal cage with a foam cushion is ideal. To secure to a pole, he uses a hose clam. Because the base is a little large, it won't fit on a standard painting pole; you'll have to shim it with duct tape or something similar before clamping it. I fastened it to a 6-inch piece of 3/4-inch Sched- PVC pipe, 40 inches long, is secure and long enough for most applications.
What's even better is that you can use it to pick up apples that have fallen to the ground. Each time you go, you can pick three good-sized apples; it's well worth it. For a longer reach, I secured it to a painters pole. Excellent value for money, well-made, and delivered quickly. It's worth noting that I didn't use the foam pad. I keep moving around, but you get another Apple in the basket if I don't.
00, so getting just the basket is a fantastic deal! My only worry was that it wouldn't fit any of my other poles. I tried three different things before I found one that worked, which was a paint roller pole. It's a perfect fit and performs admirably! The basket is the same as the one that sells for $50 when purchased with a pole.
Only a catch basket is included with this purchase. Purchase the appropriate pole for your fruit trees based on their size. I needed to connect some telescoping paint roller poles. For smaller trees, an old broom stick could be used. I used tape to secure the foam so it wouldn't fall out when I was emptying the fruit. It's easier to pick if you wear glasses and a hat to keep the dirt out of your eyes:.
I like how simple it is to use; all you have to do is hook the hooks above the fruit and twist; I already had a pole from a broken roof rack and only needed the basket. Using the included hose clamp, it's simple to install. I did use a second clamp that I had on hand. The fruit is protected from being bruised by the foam cushion. This year's pears were a lot easier to pick.
The design is clever because the basket can easily attach to the end of virtually any diameter broomstick, mop, or rake handle you have available, thanks to an adjustable clamp. When you remove the basket from the stick, it takes up very little space, making it easy to transport and store.
