The best I've ever seen
5/5

I think this is the best thing I have ever purchased on My only complaint about this selection is that it is so good. Prospecting and rockhounding are activities I engage in in a wide variety of terrain types. No matter what adventures I embark on, I'll nearly always be pinned to my side with my rockhammer. The hammer I would grab before bailing out of my burning truck would be the one thing I would grab. My rock hammer is my most prized possession, what would you trade it for? Yeah, I suppose. The pick is here. I am just pleased with the product. It works smoothly and does not make any strange noises when in While every swing devours the material in front of my eyes, the song simply sings harmonically and with cadence. With great precision, the pick end seems to sink steadily into the clay, and this makes it easier to break up hard clay. When tension is applied to the handle, it penetrates without bouncing out, cracks open materials, and then stays locked in place as long as tension is maintained, then pops out with ease upon release The length of this tool makes it ideal for use wherever a rock hammer is too light for the task at hand, through any job that requires a heavy pickaxe, but still one that can be conveniently sheathed without discomfort or loss of balance. When I had to walk within walking distance of my destination, I disliked lugging a large pick or pulaski when my vehicle was only able to transport me to a nearby parking lot. By sliding it between my pack and back, I let the spade rest on my shoulder and it stays put even when untethered in any other way. Whenever I used it, I never even noticed if it was sliding or falling out, and most importantly, I didn't poke or cut my eye or my face or gear. When I used it to pry objects apart, the handle did not crack or pop even slightly it would not be recommended for a couple of other things I used it for (with great success), such as climbing up and out of a ravine like a Viking. This looks pretty cool, and I will probably even be able to putt and drive with it effectively. I will close by saying this. You certainly can. Was it as good as I expected? That was not the case. It exceeded them all. That is not the way I would put it.

According to my geology professor, they were great choices for what we were doing, but I had slipped through quality control without being noticed
3/5

The horn has been in my possession since July 21 and I have used it lightly three A rust colored powder poured out of the shaft after the head popped off the third time, 12/6/20. I am unlikely to purchase again because waiting 60$ to hear from Estwing for 3 uses is not worth it.

An incorrect update or work was done
5/5

As soon as the Paleo pick arrived, I thought it looked amazing. Unfortunately, the handle peeled off from the head of the pick on the first use due to an insufficient coating and design. This item appeared to have a "rusted" area where it came apart.
I have contacted the company and am working with them to return it. According to one of the people I spoke to, the pick I received was probably an older As soon as I have received an adequate resolution to the situation I will update this information. At this point, I am very disappointed in having this project fail in the first place and having to deal with it later. The company's response to this issue is very important to me. The update was posted on October 20th, 2019. rep from the company went to work with me on the phone and replaced the defective Paleo Pic with one that was I gave it a hard workout this week and it did as I hoped. The rating has been updated to five.

A little used, but in good shape

The pickaxe looks really nice when you first get it. When you pick it up it feels really good in your The report has some obvious flaws, as I discovered on closer inspection. The price of this item is The axe head of this pickaxe already has corrosion, but it was expected to be a new product in perfect condition. There was an axe in the room The head is welded onto the body. A lot of gaps and corrosion can already be seen Basically, it looks like it has been submerged in rain water for a couple of It was not what I expected. Here's what's new As soon as I got out of the cab with the axe, I broke its head in only 5 swings at the The entire thing is trash. This product is a complete waste of money.

The measurement is 36 inches, not 36"
5/5

Just recently I received this pick and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was much smaller than I had (As of this review) the product dimensions are 36" by 18" by 3". Does that mean it can also be used as a walking stick? Another reviewer stated that it might suit them as a walking stick. As for the dimensions, they are 26" by 13". The size of this section is 2" by 5". Based on what I've just told you, I think I'll really like this book After I have had a chance to use it in the field, I'll update this review. As long as my rating grows to 5 stars, I will be happy. In my opinion, it seems to be well built and appears to be about the perfect size for a closeup photography A quarter is dug up. you are digging in flat ground, then this pick is a little too short, but if you are digging into a wall or will be digging while kneeling, it should be perfect. * Update a weekend rockhounding with this, I love it (thus an increase in five It would be this tool that I'd take with me if I could only bring one for a rockhounding trip. The following notes are for your information I'm so sorry! In fact, you can totally replace a standard pick with this one except if you're digging in a smaller hole, in which case it may be useful There are a lot of moving parts on the pick, so it can be difficult to maneuver it in smaller places. I'm so sorry! Pry bars can be very effective when using this tool. My torso did not flex at all when applying some heavy loads. I'm so sorry! With good edge holding, it is a good tool. This weekend, I put a lot of pressure on the tip, and it is definitely duller than when I started, but it could be I'm so sorry! We really like the shovel - it's so convenient! There is a lot of toughness to the handle. As of yet, there hasn't been any damage to the handle. On a long-term basis, it might be able to stand up.
