The blade is strong and well constructed. Sharpen it up, it needs it.
My initial reaction was shock when I saw the size of the machete, thinking it was smaller and finding the hidden treasure was even more surprising. It was with great honor that my father served as a marine and was awarded the Medal of Honor. *****If this blade had been the focus of the movie Flash Gordon, I would definitely have felt like I was there. It was bought for yard work, but will be locked up in our firearm safe and will be used for other purposes as well. This bag looks longer than a lawnmower bag, as you can see from the picture.
This is pretty freaking awesome! WHETHER SHARPENING is required for cord cutters and saw backs is not available. THIS IS A THOUGHT WORTH CONSIDERING. However, I still love it.
The money you spend will be well spent. This machete is the only tool you will need if you happen upon it. I think this is a great price, very.
As soon as a blade is subjected to anything but benign conditions (cold), the blade appears like a glass bottle. That one that I bought was cracked and already in two pieces before freezing temperatures set in. Unlike other junk, it lasted only a summer, and not even a full one.
The machete is really nice, it would make a great gift!.
Although I love the Marine Corps with all of my heart, I think the letter opener is more impressive than the Marine Corps itself.
It is quite expressive for what so far appears to be a rather ornate machete despite its durability. Sharpening it was not done with much care. To make it stronger I sewed some paracord around To unsheathe it, you have to undo the button on the side of the sheath, so it isn't very handy in an emergency. The worst part of this is the inattentive sharpening left a massive lip on the side of the short part where it meets the long part, and this is effectively destroying the inside of the sheath. The design here seems to be too complex and expensive for me. I think I'll go for a much cheaper, simpler and more effective alternative. My next step is to buy another one that I can use in my actual practical life.
