There is no tang to it.

I tried cutting a cinder block with tin foil, and it was extremely difficult! Then I finally had a chance to use it. When I was using my machete to cut some shrubs in my back yard, after a few swipes I realized that the blade wasn't cutting. After looking at the blade, I found it to be DAMN NEAR twisted and twisted and warped looking! My shocked reaction to what I witnessed was beyond belief. A good blade weighs well and is sharp. The back side of the blade has saw teeth as well. There is no value in the handle. I used the braided corded string the first time, and it was already raveled.
