Promising on paper but failed to live up to expectations in the field
3/5

My friend told me about the Estwing Machete, which he saw at a gun show from a respected outfitter, and he liked the idea.
As soon as my order arrived, I began to have my doubts even though it was made in the It is the saw back that causes the most problems. Though this wooden saw set looks good, its teeth aren't sharp, resulting in considerable effort to saw a small sapling (1 1/2") and it took almost 4 minutes to do so. The purpose of putting teeth on a product bearing a quality name like ESTWING is ineffective if it does not meet the needs of the customer. I have to say that the cutting edge of the blade was slightly better than my axe's, but still not up to my standard. Is it the cutting angle? I am returning it for a refund either way. The Conner family.

A durable material A substantial amount A sharp point
5/5

The product is well This is a very well-made product. Tang to the core. Compared to Harbor Freight or other such cheaply made blades, this blade is much thicker Machetes are made in Mexico. Basically, the handle is approximately 70A durometer rubber, just like the hammers. Only irritating thing about it is the massive warning that literally says wear safety glasses, etc. But, I suppose that's the price you have to pay when it comes to product liability. An edge was very decent for hacking limbs on the blade She bought a Lansky puck and is very very very sharp now. I was not very pleased with the handle at first, but after I epoxy in the stupid warning, this is now the best machete I have ever owned, and I will be buying more of these in the future as long as the quality remains this high.

Despite its ugly appearance, this tool is awesome
5/5

There is something strange about the design of this My favorite part about it is that it is extremely well balanced, and I could swing it all day long clearing trails. But this is not a thin blade designed only to be used with tall grass. With an extra long handle and a 4 mm thick blade, you can generate some real power chopping, especially if you put it in conjunction with its extra-thick 4 mm thick blade. For the saw back feature, I don't really have much use, but I can perhaps use it I hold this thing, and it feels just right in my hand as soon as I take it in my hands. In addition, I really like the fact that the handle is made out of one solid piece of steel. Aside from a comfortable handle, this is one of the best machete handles I've ever handled. Many of the tools I own are Estwing, and the nylon shock absorbing material is great. By using this device, you will have a less painful time chopping. Basically, I just had to sharpen it after Estwing put some kind of varnish on the edge of the blade, so the only issue I had with it was the varnish. I used it as an axe and it had an exceedingly sharp edge like my other The overall impression I have of this machete is quite satisfied. It is proving to be great for just about anything around the yard, and I can't wait to do some fishing and camping with it.

There is no better machete on the market today
5/5

tell you how much I am enamored with this machete, I will say that its saw back is very much unnecessary. It's useful for small things, like making kindling, and the saw back barely gets used. Having a saw back would most certainly impede the process. It was only because of the saw back that I tried to find another knife that would be equally suitable. As a result of the high-profile departure My search did not lead me to a carbon forged blade, so I had to grind it off with the saw back I can use it far more conveniently now that it's more compatible.

Tool that cannot be ignored
5/5

This is a highly recommended product. The best tool on the market. Ideally, this resource is highly useful in the hands of someone who has at least some knowledge of it. It has been a pleasure using this tool for about a month and have used it heavily. AAA+++
This tool is built to last a lifetime when used intelligently and with common sense. This tool is both tough and dependable, and it is always kept handy in the very strong leather sheath that protects it. If anyone is complaining about the warning on the handle, I would say just ignore Obviously, it is a tool, and owing to our modern cry babies, it probably has to be there in order Its barely noticeable writing and grip make it an excellent choice for hands.

On what part of the blade is the textured finish
3/5

When I purchased this Estwing Machete, I was expecting to receive a machete that looked like the one pictured within When you do a close-up, you'll find that If you look closely at the blade, you will notice that the finish is textured and looks pebbly. The machete to me is made up of that. There was a rugged look to it. I didn't receive any textured finish on the one I received. This black-coated item is mostly smooth, but it has the tough black power coating. It was a disappointment. Despite its size, it is very well built and will stand up for a long time to allow me to do what I.

Vegetation and zombies can be controlled by this vicious beast
5/5

A three-pronged tool with a long handle that can be used to hack, saw, hack or dig with this in one hand while cutting, sawing, hacking or digging with the other. Make it longer to reach farther or to use both A good point of balance is found at about 1/2" up the blade from the guard. Tooth spines have long teeth that poke out in alternating directions, allowing them to saw or hack through softer materials (vines, thin branches, rope, tall grass), but not through thick hardwood, unless you want to risk the teeth becoming bent. It chops nicely because the long handle lets one hit with plenty of momentum, in a similar manner to There is a rough grind on the blade edge, but it can be easily touched up it can also be molded so that in some spots it is thicker and in others thinner. It is a mystery what steel is. There is a "steel" with springiness but not too much, which is what I think is 1060 or 5160 I am impressed with the power of this I do believe it is a single piece of steel with just a rubbery material covering the tang and a bolster The risk of it failing is not a concern for me. Because of its size, it's very light and allows it to absorb shock well without transferring it directly to the hand. This is too large and unwieldy for hunting, especially given the saw and other accessories. With its tooth spines and coating that rubs off over time, this product seems very durable. Until now, we have not had an issue with rust. There is an "U. " on it. It also features "Pirate" in large letters on its handle and molded into the blade, so everyone will have no doubt where it came from. This model comes with a practical but basic nylon sheath that fits a belt measuring 2 1/2" wide, the sheath and the knife in factory-installed condition. A sealed package lets you know that the item is brand-new. This is an excellent book. Yes, I agree You'll definitely catch any zombies on the loose with this!.
