I would suggest that reviewers try something new like, "usable in applications". Does it have a sharp edge? Yes, you should. The program is usable as its intended purpose, without a doubt. No matter whether or not it can do its job, it certainly has "heft. " My hand machete proved to be the best one for clearing thick brush in the yard, and I would recommend it to all those who need to do the same. No matter what the Florida jungle or Maryland briar looks like.
It is the third time I have ordered a GrandWay blade. It is made well and is both practical and well made just like the other two. A knife that does what it is supposed to do safely and at a price I can afford is an important purchase to me. It's been a while since I used the machete, but I've had a chance to use it in the back yard to clear some small branches off of trees (like the 6 month offshoots that grow all over the bottom of oaks). There was enough weight on the blade to allow it to swing in a very controlled manner, balancing and swinging well. For a test, I cut down a couple of one-inch outgrowths from one of the oak trees I was cleaning with the serrated side Less than 2 minutes were needed for the serrated side of the blade to saw through. Normally I wouldn't recommend doing this (a small chainsaw could do the job in about 10 seconds), but this blade would be excellent for cutting down small, standing dead wood for a fire in a camping situation. The blades they make appear to be very practical and of good quality.
This saw works great to clear brush or for Throw away your fears without a second thought.
A description of this item states that it is useful for cutting brush and that the serrated edge could be used to cut thicker brush. I only managed to hack down some fairly small brush less than a centimeter using it, and the serrated edge was worthless for cutting down tree saplings 2cm I had to use the loppers to reach the center of the stump from which they were growing. While the blade feels decently heavy, the handle still seems a bit flimsy, and I am not sure how long the rubber will last with the way it is There is now no possibility of reducing the small section to the desired size without a sharpener, I had hoped to do so at least. Even though the sheath was well made, I would have rather had a good blade instead of a sheath I don't use. When you can't touch and examine one of these in person, it is difficult to make a judgment. If I get a proper sharpener for twenty bucks, I may review later.
say, the device didn't bounce off my shoulder and I had a lot of fun getting bandaged up by my nurse wife.
It also quickly removed a lot of thick branches in the backyard and while.
As a pre-loaded product, it comes with A razor sharp enough to cut and pull hair off of Although the steel is not ideal for holding a razor edge, it may be possible to sharpen it further if you choose to do so. It seems that the steel is a little soft & brittle A good combination of flexibility and ease of use A machete blade that is brittle isn't something you want. This machete is much better than my previous one This stainless steel blade was light and fast with a moulded rubber handle that dried out in my garage. I used it for hours without getting tired. A solid plastic handle with screws all the way through the tang makes this machete very easy to use. If you don't want it to break, rot, or fall off, you shouldn't use it. A standard saw's edge is about as sharp as a saw blade. I don't recommend it for all day use, because it is quite functional, but it is not ideal for long-term use. Having to lift such a heavy load will quickly tire your arm.
In Maine, I use it to cut prickles and vines that are evasive! The blade is solid and sharp, and there is a cutting blade on the other side! It is a very well-done tool. I recommend it. The food was so good that I ordered two!.
I am glad I chose this machete based on my extensive research as it had the perfect balance of sharpness and weight for cutting the branches that I used it to do. On a few spots in my backyard, I even used it to cut the grass.
