Edging on the blade is made easier by the design of the step at the top. It only takes a little pressure and side to side rocking to get the effect! On the downside, the handle is difficult to work. If you rock it forward or back, it begins to bend due to its lack of reliability. My rating of 3 stars is based on the handle bending.

Getting rid of crabgrass that grows along the sidewalk was a priority when we bought this manual lawn edger. I was able to weed the walkway using this yard tool and even I could use it easily You can cut the grass with the flat part of the shovel simply by stepping on it. My yard is a short and sweet one, so the yard butler works great for us. I'm not sure I'd have the stamina to work on a long walkway.
