I bought two other shovels at the same time at the store and they seemed very flimsy. I love how it works! A very sturdy construction.
There are a lot of good features on this shovel. This product has a high price tag, but I would purchase it again with no Those are the types of things I've used it for In several different soil types, I have jumped onto it with two feet into compressed ground, kicked it downward with one foot into mature turf, thrust it down with two hands adjacent to the fence, and I've sliced it horizontally into soil with small roots using the scoop and the handle. It still has enough points to dig a hole if the need arises, especially if the wire reinforced foot extensions are wide and sturdy.
Instead of using this as a half-edger, I purchased it hoping I could use it as an edger Edgers should use a shovel that is sharp enough for edging, however, this one is not. I used my regular shovel to make it easier.
