I bent one of the trowels simply by scooping up soil I'd already prepared. In a bucket, the ingredients were combined. This set comes with two trowels, both of which are complete garbage. Even in loose soil, they became bent. They're pretty much useless for anything other than gentle shaping. br>br>The bag that comes with these tools is too small to hold the wooden-handled tools. This isn't really a set; it's clearly a collection of disparate items thrown together as a grab bag to sell as a whole. Why put a bag in a set like this if it can't hold all of the tools? br>br>The trimmers are adequate, and the tweezers come in handy when assembling a terrarium. The rakes are sturdy for their size. br>br>The only reason I'm not returning this item is because there are enough tools that can be used that it's not worth the hassle, but I'm sorry I bought it.
Do not use them outside unless you have a lot more experience with dirt than I do; I'm still learning and nearly broke one of the cute little shovel heads. Fortunately, because they were still new, the metal flexed and I was able to bend it back into place. I may have been a little too enthusiastic about pulling weeds and stabbed the ground too hard. My apologies for the mishap with my teeny-tiny shovel. In any case, they've been fantastic for my small indoor herb garden!.
This set is well worth the money due to the variety of tools included. The only disadvantage I've discovered is that the small trowels are made of very thin metal that bends easily. They're meant to be used with care. Regardless, it's an excellent bargain.
The shovels' handles had already broken. They had only been used once previously. Metal- There is cheap, if that's what you want to call it. Little "clippers" come in handy. Overall, this is a low-cost set. What you pay for is exactly what you get. I was just getting started with gardening and didn't want to blow my budget.
It was extremely well packaged and includes a storage container.
As a result, the tools are unable to be stored in the bag. I wasn't expecting these to be great tools, but I was hoping for something presentable at the very least. It's gotten to the point where I haven't even taken them out of the bag to use them because they irritate me every time I see them sticking out.
I've recently begun work on a project that I'm really excited about. I needed some smaller tools for my indoor succulent and cactus garden, and I needed them quickly. Everything about this set appeals to me, particularly the sharp scissors and carrying bag. The scissors were ideal for quickly and cleanly snipping off cactus offshoots - Let's hope I can make something out of the trimmings!.
For bonsai/small plant care, the best LARGE selection is available. Each item was wrapped separately. br>I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I'd purchase it again.
