I'm not sure about the warranty, but I don't see how this tool could "snap." It is, without a doubt, my most beloved gardening tool. It has so many uses that it has become indispensable. It's also quite durable.
The flat side, on the other hand, is sharpened.
The serrations on the deluxe, in addition to the depth marker and notch for twine cutting, are extremely sharp. The "serrations" on a traditional soil knife are simply dull nubs that, while cutting, aren't particularly effective. The deluxe version is unquestionably superior.
The A M Leonard soil knife, I believe, is made in Italy. It's a fantastic resource. Without it, I would not be able to garden.

I've read other professional gardeners' and landscapers' reviews and can only agree. A was the letter I chose. Working for a landscaping company for three years (and it wasn't new when I got it), I used a Leonard soil knife (the classic model). I couldn't go into my backyard after I finished landscaping without wishing I had it back. br>br>This is one tough digger/pryer. I remember feeling it begin to bend at some point, but I can't recall what completely stupid misuse I was attempting at the time, such as stuffing a rock under it as a fulcrum and stepping or jumping on it to pull up a wood form around concrete. That's the level of stupidity. There was a lot of filthy A as well. soil knives, knives found at the bottom of toolboxes that have been exposed to the elements, but none that are particularly rusted. br>br>Because my old classic model one wasn't very good at cutting, I always had a razor knife and pruners with me. The deluxe model I purchased for home use, on the other hand, cuts far better. Maybe it's because it's new, but the serrated side looks a lot better than the old classic. I even use it as a machete (surprisingly, the serrated side) to chop up non-food items. plants that are made up of wood br>br>I'm not a fan of the deluxe model's twine cutting notch (I've cut myself on it several times and haven't used twine in a long time-- Aside from the serrated side, which can be used to cut twine). If I really wanted to get rid of it, I could grind it down. It's also nice to have inch markings.
It's made in Italy, as it turns out. It is, however, surprisingly strong. Because I didn't think the blade went all the way into the handle when I first reviewed it, I only gave it four stars. However, after using it, I discovered that it was very sturdy, and I used it to pull large rocks from the ground, which it did admirably. This is a very strong piece. They provide you with a lifetime guarantee. I don't believe you'll ever need to use it. This is without a doubt one of the best Hori Horis available.
This is an excellent product with a pleasant weight and feel. It's razor-sharp and excels at cutting through roots and dense soil. I'm not sure how I survived without it in the past! It's helped me dig out burdock and dandelion, as well as large clumps of crab grass. I also used it to clear swaths of creeping Charlie from the garden, which made the job go much faster. It's also useful for removing weeds from between the stones of pathways. I also used it to quickly cut through the cardboard sheets I'm using as weed block so I can plant through them, and it did an excellent job! It's become my go-to tool in no time! Because it's so sharp, I always use leather gloves when I use it. I really like how one side is serrated and the other isn't. I recommend getting the leather sheath that comes with it as well. I'm carrying it in a sheath that wasn't designed for it, and it's not quite right. Overall, this is an extremely useful and versatile tool that is well worth the money.
It has a sharp edge to it. It's something I use on a regular basis and adore. As I plant new plants/flowers, I dig, cut small branches, and cut old weed fabric out of the garden. (By the way, that weed fabric is SO HARD to cut. ) If you intend to use it, proceed with caution! I'm undecided on this one. It did assist me in eliminating a large number of old weeds without the use of chemicals. ) In any case, I strongly suggest using this tool!.
The knife was at least 5 years old and had a lot of hours on it when I used it as an employee in 2012 The teeth had dulled a little, but the knife's quality and durability remained excellent. br>Now that I'm no longer an employee, I purchased my own in 2020, and wow, the teeth are even better, and family members who use it also rave about the quality.
This is a tool that I can't live without. There will be no more dashes to the shed to get scissors or a trowel. I keep this soil knife in my gardening apron and use it on a regular basis. If you need to cut twine or open a bag of mulch, you've come to the right place. Have a strand of grass rooted next to a tomato plant? Use the soil knife to remove it. Remove it with a soil knife, being careful not to damage the tomato. Do you want to start with seeds or small seedlings? Make a small opening with the soil knife and drop it in at the correct depth. For easy measurement, the soil knife's blade is marked in inches.
This is something I use on a daily basis. Harvesting, planting, weeding dandelions, planting bulbs, cutting twine, and other tasks include dividing houseplants and perennials, as well as harvesting, planting, and weeding dandelions. My all-time favorite gardening tool. Other brands are a waste of money. The extra money is well spent on this one. When it comes to planting seeds and bulbs, the inch marks come in handy!.
I bought this tool with the intention of removing the turf around my mailbox so that I could replace it with a non-cutting ground cover. I have a larger tool for removing sod, but I'm concerned that using it will cause lumbar pain because I have back problems. br>br>This tool worked wonders in getting rid of the grass around my mailbox. Cutting and removing the turf with the tool took very little effort. It comes highly recommended when it comes to removing small areas of turf. It also appears to be adaptable to other types of gardening. Planting, thinning, and other similar tasks.
