Yes. The meshes are susceptible to rusting depending on what you use them for, how you clean them, and how you store them. br>I'm afraid I won't be able to leave mine out in the open. After being exposed to moisture, the components must be thoroughly dried.
Unfortunately, this is not the case. This soil sieve set is intended for use in bonsai and gardening.

It was a huge success. The screens do not lock into place, which is my only complaint. The screen would fall out every time I tipped the product over to shake out debris. Aside from that, it appears to be what it claims to be and functions as expected.
I had assumed it would be larger to accommodate a 5-gallon bucket, but after reading the description, it appears to be smaller than I had anticipated. So it was my fault, but it still functions properly.
I'm new to rock tumbling and have been reading about how to screen grit from the stones at each stage and the dangers of not cleaning them thoroughly. Rather than purchasing three different screens, I purchased this one, which appears to be ideal for my needs and does not take up much space.
however, it will be retained! Because it arrived in a bubble bag rather than a box, the sifter was bent in two places. I was able to bend it into a useful shape, which I intend to keep. I used it to sort through some old (washed) clothes today. sun- It worked great with dried) Bonsai soil! It's a good size for small jobs.
This appeared to be the ideal tool for me to use in order to get my soil to the correct grain, but it arrived bent out of shape and is extremely difficult to use as a result. I would not advise purchasing this.
The product is in good condition. Screens are quick to change. When the screens are in use, there is very little, if any, leakage through them. Although it would not be practical for large jobs, it was the ideal size for what I needed it for (clearing old pebbles from around trees). The money spent on this purchase was well spent.
I was planning on making one, but this is far less expensive and more durable than what I would have constructed.
They work great and are very convenient, especially with the switchable screens, which take up less space in my kit. br>All you have to do is keep an eye out for any material that gets caught in the edge of the screen as you pull it out, and make sure to tap it over your pan to avoid losing any gold.
