It gets a 5 out of 5 star rating from me. I like the way this spray works and how easy it is to clean up. My video that I made while painting with this sprayer can be seen below.
I was amazed at how smooth everything went. In other words, what I would have likely spent days doing took me just a few hours including drying As I was going to do the job in the garage, I also purchased a spray tent that was an excellent purchase. The idea of putting a quart size ziploc bag in the paint well made cleanup a snap. The screws were tight on all of them. Plan your day accordingly if you plan to use the sprayer. You'd be surprised how easy it is to clean given how much time you just saved. The best recommendation I could give anyone painting their kitchen would be to purchase this book. This is the first time I've used a sprayer. I was doing it by hand before, and I regret not buying it sooner.
I found it to be very easy to use right out of the box. The pros are * * Professional finish for a novice user * * Ease of use right up front * * Lightweight and ergonomically better than another brand I've tried * * Sprays more types of paint than similar priced big box brand sprayers * * Cons While it is not advertised as a heavy-duty sprayer (and it is not), it will use more paint than rolling. It does not come with a cap for the paint reservoir, making the process tedious. Paint sprayer liners are your friend if you're using 32 ounce cans! There is not enough time for paint to sit in a sprayer for a coat to dry and you can go through round two of painting. It is a good idea to clean out your sprayer between layers. When I first heard this, I thought, 'This is annoying. ' I find this problematic given that 1) the sprayer paint cup does not have a cap to store the paint and 2) the spray cup needs to be refilled with clean water to ensure your gun is clear after use. In the case of this problem, how did I resolve it? I learned this the hard way by painting all over my kitchen counter with gray paint). Then I could quickly and easily fill my spray cup with clean water (without having to buy an extra one) and clean my gun before using it again for another coat. After that, I just added the bag back into the paint can and stirred it again, getting to work on the next coat! Please let me know if this helps anyone!.
I was also worried about how cheap this is, as there are some reviews that had me concerned. As a result of using this, I have learned those bad reviews must be from people who did not read the instructions. should read the directions before you start. In step 1, the instructions suggests that you thin the paint if you notice it sputters, which might be a sign that you didn't strain the paint or didn't thin the paint enough. That is why it comes with a tool for measuring viscosity. It's easy to use and you'll love it as much as I do after reading the directions. The system has already saved me a great deal of paint and time. Here is 1 that I used. The bottom part of my living room was painted with 6 L of paint mixed with a small amount of water. Upon closer inspection, it doesn't even appear that a second coat would be necessary. There is only one regret I have not buying it sooner. The amount of paint I save from using it will probably be enough to pay for the device. I have updated It's hard to get the reservoir sufficiently tight to avoid leaking again when I tried using it again. A point would be reached at which it would tighten for a while, and then the tension would be released. By using the Seran wrap method, this issue was resolved. My method is to wrap a thin strip of seran wrap around the threading of the bottle and screw it on. There is no air leak. It's an easy spray gun to use. I can leave paint inside it over night, then peel off a small amount of dried paint on the nozzle and start spraying again.
There is no need to thin the paint! Trust me, that extra $30 is well worth it! The finish of my entire kitchen is flawless after being painted with milk paint. Also used this for the poly topcoat, and the topcoat was so easy to do all at once that I was able to do several layers. It was easy to clean up. A second jar would have been nice so that you could use one to store extra paint, one to send water through the sprayer, and one to paint while you wait for the paint to dry.
I'm a professional painter and hired this tool for a small job in a pinch while my main sprayer was on another job site. I never would have trusted it with my livelihood if it weren't for the poor quality. Despite the reviews posted here, I have serious questions about whether they are from real Paint must be sprayed a lot and I absolutely cannot accept the results produced by this unit. Having read and understood the directions carefully, this unit will not spray an acceptable finish on any interior surface or furniture, even after taking the time to read and understand them. In terms of the paint itself, it was brand new, clean, and well mixed without chunks or debris. In the case of a fence post or something you simply want painted, spray paint is what you want. There are no tips that are completely orange peel, and the color they use to identify tips comes off immediately when they are used with oil-based products. I wanted this to work and inspected it closely to make sure everything was assembled correctly and that it Don't waste your time, money, or effort with this product, as it does not atomize the paint small enough for a smooth finish. And guess what, even with all the settings and tips I tried, the same thing happened. In the end, the spray produces a rough, uneven finish due to the large beads sprayed evenly.
