When the bob is fully reeled, how far does it extend?

Is it possible for it to hook onto a string?

The weight of the plumb would affect the line's straightness, so I wouldn't hook it to anything other than a solid surface.

Is it a slat or a round hole that the sting comes out of?

Yes, it's a square peg in a round hole. My string broke after about 2 months of use plumbing door frames, and it was nearly impossible to re-string it. I wish I had purchased a less expensive one, as I am confident it would have lasted just as long. I contacted the seller, who informed me that they offered a 30-day warranty, so I was out of luck. When I went to the Tajima website, they said there was a 90-day warranty. I sent them an email but received no reply. disappointed a great deal

Is it possible to add a longer string to it, and if so, how long should it be? This reel is great, but it's only 14' long. ?

Unfortunately, I believe that the retractable part's maximum length is 14 feet. Where the plumb Bob is, you could probably add some string. However, in my opinion, it defeats the purpose. It is a fantastic item. Try a chalkline with plumb Bob at the end if you want something longer that you can rewind quickly. You can get 50 feet out of them by gluing a magnet to the back. This also works well for longer distances. I hope this has been of assistance.

Good concept, but it needs to be made much more durable

I was looking forward to this because I'm in college for carpentry, but I didn't expect the setting pin to simply pull out and get stuck in the wood after a few uses. In the construction industry, low-cost materials will not last long.

The ideal solution for a Door Level's problems

This is a high-end device with all of the bells and whistles. There'll be no more lugging a 6ft-tall bag around. ish magnetic level, taking care not to knock it out of whack. This is small enough to fit in a toolbag and tough enough to withstand all kinds of abuse.

Tajima is Japan's Bosch; their tools are simply incredible! br>Here's an excellent illustration! This plumb bob works wonders when it comes to hanging doors. The base is magnetic if you're working with metal studs. If you're working with wood, there's a set pin that you simply hammer in place. br>The tension can be adjusted, and the line extends 2 inches. br>I would strongly advise!.

This, like all tajima tools, is made of high-quality materials. A plumb bob can be used in a variety of ways as a remodeling contractor, and this one works well. If you do any type of door jamb installation, you will never use a level again once you learn how to do it with a plumb bob.

Try one of these to get the results you're looking for in a vertical plum line. hangs on doors and walls, wood or metal, even has a retractable clip for hanging over top of doors attaches to metal with built-in magnet attaches to wood with pointed push pin works great I recommend this product I use it for carpentry and finding accurate vertical lines.
