Is it possible to use this to level my scope's reticle?

With a little patience, it will work. You'd have to mount your rifle in a holder and make sure it was perfectly vertical. Then, using appropriate eye relief, place the scope in rings. As far away as possible, hang the plumb bob. With the help of a string, align the rifle and scope. The scope's vertical reticle is kept centered on the string as the rings are tightened. It may be more convenient to have it professionally installed or to buy a device designed specifically for this purpose.

Don't let go of the suckered-on plastic tip glue. Otherwise, it's great for windy days and when you can't see or use a laser to plumb walls. In my opinion, it is superior to a laser. Windy conditions are ideal for this bag. Put some vulcum on that tip as soon as you get it, and you're good to go. It's a must-have for any serious carpenter framer, and if you know how to use it, it'll make you a lot of money. Wishing you the best of luck and wishing you a wonderful day.

This is ideal for hanging doors

I use door installation brackets (EXPR Premium Door Install Kit) and a good plumb bob to make the job go quickly. A level can also be used, but when you only have a few doors to hang, a 6 ft level is a big investment. The install kit only requires one side to be level, and a plumb bob will not lie!.

The machined surface appears to be in good condition. It's a nice feature to have a replaceable tip. It accomplishes the task at hand. Because I don't use one very often, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something made in America. But you'll need one when you need one.
