For the money, this was a great deal. It helped me locate the center of a room where I wanted to hang a ceiling fan. Threading the string to the bob was simple, and its weight was sufficient.

Good, but a little too much

sized. So it appears that 8 ounces is excessive for home projects - I could probably get away with half that, but it'll be less likely to be deflected by the wind when it's outside. perhaps. It's a significant addition to my toolkit.
