Since round tape measures like these have always been a favorite of mine, when I saw this chrome edition printed on solid metal, I had to have it. This phone does not come with a lock button, but I might be able to live without it. A silky smooth tape action and a beautiful, solid metal case make this tape a pleasure to use. I suppose you could take it apart if you wanted to. It feels great in the hand. There is a screw on the back. There was tape still on it after I pulled it out, but I believe it can be replaced. While these are still available, I suggest you buy one.

I haven't seen a tape like this in a long time. It has solid metal and is a smooth metal with a pleasing weight. The length is almost three feet, which is good in my opinion since it is only 1/2" in width. It fits well in the pouch that is attached to my cell phone holster. I have tried several to find the best everyday carry (EDC) tape and it's so helpful to be able to have one with me. Easily attach a belt holster to your belt with this magnetic cover.

There was a sense of cheapness to it. Even the $3 Stanley fatmax key chain tapes have a great shine to them - not the smooth glide I've become accustomed to.

My expectation was that it would feel more luxurious in person, but at $3, it is indeed a disappointing find. There is something strangely large and thick about it for something that is marketed as an The jacket is too thick to conveniently fit in my back pocket, and without a pocket I'm returning it. I've already purchased a thinner one that's a bit shorter in length to replace it. Since I wanted the longer length of this tape measure (Stanley has a short, skinny tape measure called the Powerlock which is pretty cool but usually breaks pretty easily), I really hoped it would be as functional and look like the vintage Stanley pocket tapes.

I do not know if it has a locking feature, but it is a replica of one of Stanley's original models. So it probably won't In addition to being highly functional, this thing is also highly aesthetically pleasing. (I don't really care about aesthetics but I think it helps to add to the fun during play. ) (For another or for yourself) I think this would make a great stocking stuffer or gift.
