An example of a lever lock tape is that you have to squeeze it to release it, and then let go of it to stop it. A power lock tape, on the other hand, is not so easy to operate. In the case of the power locks, you have to pull the tape out with your own hands and slide down the lock with your thumb to lock it. In both cases, the rewind feature is enabled
3 inches is the diameter of the base. Historically, Stanley tape measures have been one of my favorite tape measures, and this one resembles the original. This is what I bought, I bought two!

While purchasing 2 of these at the same time, I discovered that the quality of the prints varied. On one side, the printing is clear and sharp, while on the other, it isn't. I will use one of them in the future as a go-to option while I will use the other one as a backup.
This tape was my first purchase about eight years ago, and I have used it in conjunction with my older 25 ft Powerlock tape for many hundred of building projects throughout the years. As a result, I usually went with the 30 footer whenever it was available because I liked the idea of having the extra reach. In contrast to the 25 footer, I have never had to go the whole way like I have with the 50 Up until yesterday, I had never experienced this. I was unable to retract the tape when I experienced a violent explosion inside my body when I attempted to slowly extend the tape to the full 30 feet. As a comparison, I have extended the 25 footer's full length many times and it has never failed to retract. I removed the broken 30 footer and discovered the plastic post at the center had been broken off and the spring unrolled completely. There is no point in trying to fix it. The 25 footer will be my go-to from now on. This product is solid, reliable, and a great value for the price.
This is a fat and bulky man. Belt clips are too difficult to operate and they weigh half a ton too! You have the power to - There is only one tape that has 1/16th, 1/8, 1/4, etc. marked on it, and that's Lock. If you want Lufkin or Sears, just buy it. The case for buying good tapes is moot if you can't actually read Buying a Stanley will help you save time and money!.
You can find power lock tape at a great price. A few years ago I bought one of these that I have used for decades and it is still working fine. I know my dad had one of these for years as well and he was a big fan of things that lasted for years. Long lasting, easy to read, and extremely reasonably priced. Measure with this measuring tape and you won't be disappointed. I am in awe!.
The money was a waste! Besides the expensive ones, there are tons of other cheaper ones that work far.
Several products from Stanley had to be ordered if I wanted to remain loyal to the product line. It seems that Stanley's new stuff is lacking in quality, like tape locks that cannot be relied upon in any situation.
Since I grew up in a family of carpenters, it has been my favorite tape measure, but lately I found that I cannot find it at the It's a great buy to me because they have plenty of big fat bulky ones for about $25. For the price and longevity of these it's the best buy!.
The Stanley Tape Measure I needed to replace my old one was not in stock, so I ordered it. I would recommend it to everyone. The device is easy to operate, durable, and accurate. There is a little weight to it but it is a 30 feet.
