One of them does not work after a while after I used it, which is the only problem I've had. I have three of these and like the features, but one of them did not work for a while.
It is stated by Klein that the product is made in the US. It is hard to tell who They are both working fine for me, and I have no complaints about
I don't understand what you're asking. It's not metric, but SAE. There are four types of graduation inches, halves, quarters, eighths, sixteenths.

There are a lot of numbers and a focus on 8ths, so it's clear you're reading 8ths and not 16ths, because, as an electrician, you rarely use 16th terms. That the tip is just big enough to catch everything you need, but not too large that it gets in the way all the time. We love the magnet size and the place where it is installed so that it is protected and easy to wipe off steel shavings. My previous approach to measuring was to use magnetic tape measures because of steel shavings. This tape requires only a light amount of effort when locking it, whereas most tapes require much more effort. I also like the temporary finger lock on the bottom. If the body of the tape wasn't so bulky and large for a 16' tape, this would get a 5 star review. People typically carry 16' tapes due to their compact size, and therefore klein should prioritize offering a 25' that is more convenient for me. The bulky size makes it difficult for me to carry a 25' tape, and I do not carry any because it is bulky.
The tape has far more features than any other tape measure I've found. I haven't had it long enough to comment on its durability, but it has the best feature set I've found. Here are some of my favorite features 1). Double-sided nylon tape, 2) A tanglish fish that will grab at the bottom and top, as well as on occasion, grab at 3) Brake pedal on the bottom, to let the tape retract slowly, or hold it in place until it can be extended, 4) Magnetic tip on the end, which I intend to use as a substitute for a standard magnetic pickup, if 5) Holds its own well. Ten feet is not a problem for me. Those who would like to improve it should make it a bit more compact. Milwaukee has made great progress in reducing the size of the tape while still maintaining its.
The magnet has a recessed area instead of sticking out in front, which makes it stick to things without flying off by themselves. In addition to the numbers on both sides, I also have shrinkage and multipliers on the back which I frequently refer to However, the slimmax's characteristics cannot make it stand out like a fat max, but I do not usually need it to do that anyway. My favorite is the 16 footer, but the 25 foot versions that I've seen others have are a bit cumbersome for This thing is simply the best I've found so far in my experience as someone who usually runs ridgid pipe and I would highly recommend it to any electrician who frequently runs.
My life has been filled with measuring tapes since I was a child. So I bought Dewalt and Milwaukee and they are absolutely wonderful but they do last maybe a year on average. I started with the cheap stuff (and the cheap stuff is okay for at home when you use it twice annually), but the cheap stuff keeps breaking and developing sharp edges over time. Klein Tools was recommended to me by a friend. Specifically, I want to know who Klein is. This is a brand new product for me. You can't have too much good, can you? This is amazing. I'm really glad I found it. Now that I've had mine for two years, I know what to do. My new sales staff receives one of these after completing their training. It's been 5 years now and every new employee gets one of these. Since I first started using measuring tapes, I never saw any broken ones. ones, however, are not as easy to find. Then we have a different story to tell.
A lot of my work involves installing ceiling lights such as surface mount or recessed when I'm measuring on top of the ladder, I want to measure in front of the wall or crown molding, so I saw on youtube that this one had the largest That's great! Even if it is only 16 feet long, as long as I can stand it out, I am okay with it. with it, however, is that because of its shape, it just flops even worse than a cheap tape measure when you turn it sideways. An upside down view is of no use at all. I believe giving it 3 stars is too harsh, but they advertise this as being a standout more than anything, so that's why I must This has some nice cheat sheets on it if you bend conduit. I don't bend conduit, but if you do, this will be helpful. The best I can do is.
The device is light weight, has a strong magnet without a doubt, and does not require any batteries The casing of the tape measure except for the belt clip is metal and the blade and tip of the tape measure are made of metal as well. It is bright orange in the primary color, with black secondary contrast to make it easily visible even in low light situations. Since I've had this for six months, I have dropped it a few times from its regular height of six feet and a half I have not seen a single crack in 20 feet. There is only one downside of the Klinetape measure - the blade twists easier than the FaxMaxx tap measure I use most often.
The markings are very clear though, with an emphasis on the eighths for electricians or those who don't need ultra precise measurements on a regular basis, and the underside for when it is necessary. There is nothing to worry about. I prefer the milwaukee versions, which are more expensive.
Otherwise, it is the most functional tape on the market. First one I purchased was defective. The back scale was a bit off by almost 1/16th of an inch from the front scale. They told me it should be returned, so I consulted Klein. The replacement is accurate, but it is not as strong as the return spring. In fact, even the lock tab seems to be a bit loose. It seems to hold just fine, however. Other than that, this is probably the most functional tape I've ever had. It's got scales on both sides, dual hooks, a magnetic attachment, and a blade. It features a brake feature under the hood. Since it is not a cheap tape (cost-wise) by any means, it is a shame that there are quality problems. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.
