However, I do not like the number "6"
5/5

Tape measurements like this are really useful. This calculator slides easily, retracts well, and comes with a belt clip. One of its best features is that it has fractions on one side and decimals on the other -- very handy. One thing I do not like about it is that I had to measure 6 inches several times in a recent project. To make it easier to distinguish between a "6" and a "9", there is a line below it. I kept confusing the 6 inch line with the line under the six. The 6 inch line is about 6 1/4 inches below the line under the six. My mistake was marking 6 inch at the wrong line multiple times and I have corrected it several times, but I personally found this marking confusing and therefore made mistakes with it. As far as I am concerned, I am prone. It is still a very effective tape measure, despite that one drawback. There is no doubt that it is a good deal and does its job. I would appreciate it if you could let Amazon know if my review was helpful via the "Helpful" button. I appreciate it.

The process of getting out of the package was extremely frustrating
3/5

was asked to get four of these because I work in maintenance and we needed some My first attempt at removing the tape from the package was very difficult and it took me two or three attempts to figure out what to do. To open the back of the ring, you must cut along the punched out lines (the punched out dotted lines will not open. When they don't give enough), pry away the cardboard with a screwdriver and tear it off, then you use that screwdriver to lift up the metal belt clip enough to make sure that it clears the dimple they have to catch it. That must be so hard! Likewise, you run the risk of injury if you try to open the tape measure with only a knife or other sharp object. The tape measure itself works fine once it is released from the grip of death provided in the packaging. The kind of defective items I have to repair and fix come from the department of sales prevention at Lufkin's, but this package I'm working on must have been designed by them. It can be hard to find decent tape measures that are logically packaged - but there are plenty of them out there This would be a good buy for me.

Tape is good for the price
4/5

In a nutshell It is a great tape for the price, but the labeling takes a little getting used to (but I like it), and it has strong retraction. Long It would be nice to have an extra tape measure around, but it was not something I wanted to spend a lot on (less than $10) since this won't be my primary tape measure. The tapes I have over the years are numerous There are also Stanley power tapes, a self-locking Kobolt, a couple of free "horror freight", and a tiny Lufkin that can't be more than 40 I checked Lufkin again as a result of the latter. Except for the horror freight (the tape ends bend up, but they still work in general. ) and a Stanley I accidentally cut with a miter saw, none of them are broken. In the first place, let's get one thing In comparison, this is not going to be as good as an There seems to be some confusion regarding what some of you expect. I like the plastic shell of this product though it feels Not only is it not low quality cheap, but it has the feel of a tape that costs less than $10. You get what you pay for, so it's not a bad thing. Even so, it has already endured a few falls from a height of 6'- " This is after dumping it 8' onto concrete and it looks and feels as good as new. It is not inferior to a wooden cased Stanley tape, as I have one, and I don't feel it is inferior This metal is more solid than this one, but not as durable as metal. In spite of the strong retraction, there is no indication of a trend. I am surprised at how strong it is. We'll see how that works out. I find this to be good, but it also points to a Retraction of the tape does not require a bumper to be struck against. Most often, this means that the end eventually bends out of shape, loses accuracy, and can no longer attach to anything. A cheaper tape may assist with this by including a bumper on the end that will prevent the tape from striking. * The layout of the numbers on the tape drawn me to the tape, as well as the color scheme. Even though it is not as intuitive as using the "conventional" tape marking layout all these years, I like it well enough. There is no problem with the tape lock. Although some reviews are critical about it, this one works quite The engagement remains solid. This is how the packaging looks This packaging is disgusting. I don't understand why people are griping about it. If you can't get the money, then you have no business being in this business. If you decide to use it straight out of the package, it probably has no business being there. For this statement, I will consider the review by the older woman to be fair. It doesn't matter what kind of packaging it comes in as long as it's not worse than any other plastic tool box. No, you can't, because you can't get the tape out of the package.

The Stanley silver I have been using since 1980 was replaced with this one
3/5

The Stanley silver's I have been using since the 1980's was replaced with this new one. When you are restoring or remodeling a home, you will need to flip a tape in order to read measurements. If you work in metric or inch that is not a big deal, but if you work in either, you can only measure one way on the scale. If you work with measurements that are L to L or R to L, it makes it hard to use both measurements on a saw or other item. ** Not the company's fault, but they are not good for framing work, but they are great for shop work.
It is also difficult to read when it is up in the rafters because of the round design, as flat tape works better. The tape so far has performed well for the price. I would buy it again for shop work, not framing.

The measuring tape is an annoyance to everyone
5/5

I'm curious then, why has it taken you so Regular irritating measuring tape is annoying regardless of whether you are dyslexic (I am), it reminds me of your 4th grade math teacher who tortured you in front of the entire class, and well, you know how I feel about that. There is still hatred in your heart! Our lives have been made easier because of you, we have more important things to take care of- If you like my outrageous creative projects, please visit my website! I have achieved a B+ level as a result of the measuring instrument that was created the way it should have been at the time of its.

I think it would be good in a gritty environment, but not for it
3/5

I like them, but the packaging is a pain. As for the retract spring, I own several other Lufkins and this is a common problem with the brand in general. The retract is nice if you work with metal and are inside, since then you don't have to deal with that million mile an hour in which you're doing. You'll need it if you work in wood or in dirt, however. The moment sand or woodchips are introduced into the housing you'll never be able to retract the housing.

DO NOT OPEN THE PACKAGING UNTIL YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU ARE! The tape measure was delivered to me about 20 minutes ago, and it took me no less than 10 minutes to remove it from the packaging
3/5

It was hard to cut open the plastic packaging because it was a thick and sharp material. I would have easily cut my fingers with it. Neither I expected it nor did I expect it to be extremely heavy. As far as the rest is concerned, I am confident that it will function. Some one can easily cut themselves with this packaging, which needs to be redone. In the past, I have not written reviews. However, I felt compelled to write this review for the reader.
