On the first pink ruler I received, there were a number of scratches and a big gash in The scratch and gash on the ruler make it feel rough in your hands, so I kept it anyway because I needed it for a project. After ordering a second one, I received that one in better shape. It does not feel scratched and it is not scratched. The ruler feels pretty sturdy for the price, and I also ordered the purple one and it was good. I also ordered the purple one and it was good too. I am unsure why the first one I received was so poor quality.
