This brand was the only one available in the size I needed, so I purchased it. However, it contains far too many green areas, making it difficult to see the black lines with which to align your fabric. I'm not sure what they were thinking, but I'm looking for a different brand, if one exists, because the neon green markings all over the thing are just too much.
These rulers are fantastic! I have a bigger one for sewing, but I find myself using it for other projects all the time. I figured I'd get a smaller one to keep on my desk, and I use it all the time for measuring and cutting paper. It's really easy to get a straight cut with the transparency and alignment markings, and I like that it has a hole for hanging as well. I'd like it to be a little longer, preferably two minutes. Instead of only 8" x 10", you'll get 5 x 12".
to ruler at my machine. I do the majority of my cutting at a cutting table, but I have a lil nook at my machine including a cutting mat and use this ruler there.
This small ruler is perfect for measuring two things at once. When rotary cutting, a 5" cut is highly recommended. Strips of 5 inches long To ensure accuracy, I place it next to the cut surface and align it with my long ruler.
I'm not sure how I managed without it before, but now that I have it, I use it for almost everything. Half-square triangles, flying geese, 2 1/2 strips, and squares are all easy to make with this pattern. Believe me when I say that if you quilt, you will require this ruler.
This is what I use to draw lines in my sketchbook. When it comes to creating evenly spaced lines, I find the grid format to be extremely useful.
I just got it and I'm excited to use it. I already have a large ruler, but I needed a smaller one for smaller projects. It's ideal.
I adore this little ruler; it's ideal for cutting jelly rolls into smaller pieces as well as trimming 1/2" square triangles.
