Questions & Answers

Would it be best to buy the 6" or to get the 12" instead?

In the end, I bought both, since the 12" offers the most range. I tend to measure no more than 6 inches most times when I need to do an accurate measurement. These are the 3", 6", 12" and 18" that I actually own. It's all right to have your own preferences.

When it comes to unit cm, can I use it?

As far as I know, they are only available in English units

Are there any patterns on paper that you can make with this ruler?

As long as the tape is there and the paper is near the edge of the table, that should work as long as you can slide it along so that you can make the

This is a nice tool, but it's a little sluggish
4/5

You've got to be kidding me, Using this tool could not be more convenient. I've seen pictures on Amazon that indicate the ruler is very sturdy. I bet you'll be amazed when you get it home. This is a flimsy device. As a result, steel that is 1/8 inches thick will not be able to give accurate Metals that are thin are required. Although it is slightly thicker and easier to handle than a sheet of tinfoil (with just a little Although I love the tool, I don't like how it looks. The wood shop will be able to measure accurately for years to come with this meter. The measurements will need to be drafted with a mechanical pencil, and so this is for finished wood only (not that you would want to use it for rough wood). Buy with confidence, but be sure you have somewhere to store this tool and make sure you have a place to store it. The rule could easily be damaged. The place where this has been all my life is amoung the wonders of the world
5/5

I can simply say "ho- o- rah- This is Lee- This is Fook". Since I have been working with wood for so long, I use rulers, tape measures, squares, etc. Never would I have imagined how much I would use this T-square. There should be a rule for everything. This is a simple to use device that is quick, easy, and "VERY" precise. I have fallen in love with it. The original measurements would always be slightly off when I would mark, re-measure, adjust, then somehow it would always not be perfect. Years have passed and this has just been the norm. For what I was doing, I didn't really need a high degree of precision. My old technique was to cut a little larger than I needed and then sand it down to fit. Not anymore. It feels like I am using the tool like a pro. Using a sharp knife, I cut the line exactly on the mark. It would definitely be a worthwhile purchase for anyone seeking to make their measuring process more precise. Additionally, I would like to add. If you don't have a 0, click here. Using a mechanical pencil with a lead of 5mm is appropriate, since the T-shirt is marked with holes of this size It's the rule.

It's not necessary to buy one of these, but you might want to
5/5

There is no doubt that it can save a lot of time. I've worked with the six for several years now For years, I have been using the 10-inch version, but just recently purchased the 12-inch version Model with a 12-inch screen. In the process of manufacturing, some changes have been made. It is the one at the bottom, which is the old six-tube model The inch version was sharply engraved with all of the markings. It's the 12th In the inch one, the lines are a bit thicker because the paper looks embossed or stamped. These two programs both work beautifully to draw lines exactly where you want them. The purpose, obviously, is to draw precise lines. The scribes worked well both with a sharp point to draw lines on aluminum and with a fine point to draw lines on wood. To draw on wood, you will need a mechanical pencil with a 5mm lead. I find drawing a couple of tic marks with a tape measure and connecting them with a line is infinitely faster (and more accurate). We use stainless steel rules that are 10 mil thick. The knobs on the T-handle can be removed by unscrewing them Take the rule out of the base and use it as a stand-alone ruler. It is pretty much impossible to have parallax errors due to the thinness of the plate. Red aluminum extrusion has a ledge on the rear that the stainless steel plate butts up against to ensure it stays at the right angle when it is reattached. I would suggest one thing (for Incra) Make the red left-side text brighter and more prominent It would be better to extend the 12-inch angle piece by a couple of inches There is a version in inches. There is a danger of pulling the rule off square with the edge of the board when drawing a line. That has never been a problem with a 6-foot rule There is a version in inches. I'm talking about the 12-foot The screen may be a bit small, but it is still a five-star device. Just make sure you don't damage it, and you'll have it for years.

Changes everything, Saves time, saves money. On expensive boats, I make trim rings and face plates and adaptor plates for Marine Electronics everything I make is for show and the materials are expensive. A customer will not tolerate mistakes on these components. In measuring with rules, I discovered that this tool eliminated minor parallax errors and saved me some money and time. The fact that it bends and allows accurate measurements is an asset for me. My workpieces often have concave or convex fiberglass radius's. The tool bends and allows for accurate measurements. It is easy to make a mistake that will cost me more in terms of time and materials than the price of this measuring tool. A tip of the hat to INCARA!.

The design is fantastic
3/5

I can't get over how awesome this thing is! You will enjoy this program when your project requires the greatest accuracy, and it's a very easy to use one. Set the tool on the edge of the ASSN, slide the mechanical pencil through the desired hole, and mark the corresponding location. As it has depth markings on the end, it can also be used for setting the height of buts on router tables or other tools. There are only a few complaints, which include that it is If incra wanted to make this thicker they should make it at least 30% You should use the device carefully and protect it from damage. Using it or setting anything on top of it will lead to it bending very easily. Also, they should include a storage box for it so that it will not be damaged in transit. In the description, there is one thing that is omitted. For marking in the holes, since the holes are so small, you will need a mechanical pencil with a thin tip. This would also be a good addition to Incra. Besides those things, it's a fantastic design and a great tool that's as vital to the shop as they come.

With some shortcomings, but still a keeper
5/5

Marking instrument that is beautifully accurate. This is almost too many increments to handle. You'll need a very thin mechanical pencil (goes well. A thickness of 3mm or more. This lead measures 5 mm long. We all know what it is. There is no room for 7mm in the guide hole, and. The 5mm stud has to be twisted into place). In order to read the fine increments, the light needs to be strong. It would be nice to have fewer increments, larger hashmarks, and an easier to use interface. The guide holes are 7mm deep.

The precision is crucial when it comes to using it! The tool is not one you would use for general carpentry
5/5

A tool like this can be used to make precise measurements. Its flexibility is considered a negative feature by many as a result of its nature. As it is, if the product were any thicker or rigid, there would be a lot more negative reviews. Clearly, this is precision at its finest. The lead extension that needs to be used for precise marking needs to be kept as short as possible because thin leads are extremely delicate and easily break. the rule were any thicker, it would not provide the precision it offers. The tool is in my bag of tools, and I'm glad I have it. The tool in waiting is the solution you need if you've been scratching your head, trying to figure out how to increase your accuracy in a special circumstance. Unless you are going to use this to measure things better than a tape measure, you won't need it. I found that if you plan projects precisely (as I recently did with the star grid on the flag union), you will strive for accuracy, and this will provide it in spades.
