No, I don't believe that is the case. It is, however, bright enough for indoor work. I installed a drop ceiling frame with it and a stand. I haven't used it outside, so I can't speak to that.
I don't believe so, which is why I am returning the item.
Yes, it can be used to lay tiles, decorate walls, furr the ceiling, dot and plaster, and so on.

It was a total success. It returned to its original level after being bumped. The perimeter was installed using the horizontal line level, which casts a line all around the room. The main beam was located using a vertical level. Everything went according to plan. I'm just blown away by this laser for the price; it came well packaged and included a lithium rechargeable battery, charger, and spare. It's been nearly eight hours since I used it, and it's still very bright!.
It's a good laser. Lines that are strong. Other construction workers have asked me to lend them my laser for a few minutes when theirs ran out of battery or they forgot to bring one. "Oh, that's a powerful laser!" they would exclaim frequently. br>The battery lasts for about 8 hours on a single charge. br>The tiny tripod is a waste of money. It sways, it's shaky, and it's unsteady. There's also a lot of "gap" (I'm not sure what the term is for it; perhaps "backlash"?). ) as you swivel the laser left and right using the adjusting knobs. When you turn the knob in one direction, it will "catch" and start moving the laser again after about half a turn. The tripod, as I previously stated, is a complete waste of money.
This is without a doubt the best. I'm glad I didn't spend the money on the high-end labels. I've been using it for about a month now for wall tile and plank tile on the floor, and it consistently levels, has visible beams, and performs as expected. It also has a solid feel to it. When you pick it up, you can tell it's a substantial piece that isn't cheap. It comes with a nice case that includes an extra rechargeable battery, a battery charger, and a small mini tripod that I haven't used because I have a regular tripod.
The product itself is good, but the factory tolerances could be better. On the first order, the base attachment screw was bent, but the laser was fine. On the second order, the base was fine, but the laser balancing mechanism was stuck, preventing the laser from self-leveling. I tried to return and replace it, but it was out of stock, so I decided to fix it myself. I opened the housing and freed up the rest that the pendulum sits on, and it's been working fine ever.
I'm glad I bought this laser level because it's made remolding my house a lot easier. br>The battery lasts forever, and it comes with a second battery that I have yet to use. Even on a bright sunny day, the lines will be visible. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br br>Excellent value for the money.
This is a good value for money product that is simple to use and accurate. If I could have one more feature, I'd like it to have a lock; otherwise, it always returns to the vertical, which is fine. I'd like to move it manually every now and then. However, because the mechanism cannot be locked in place, it will always return to its original position.
On a framing job, I used the same laser that belonged to another employee. It performs admirably, but it is prone to breakage. The horizontal laser on mine was broken right out of the box when I bought it. I'm going to return it and get a refund.
It performs admirably in a wide range of situations and is simple to operate. I wish I had purchased this earlier in my life.
