Exceptional Customer Service (as of 2019) 1028). This is a fantastic tool to have in your toolbox. I had one that was more than 30 years old and, well, it was difficult to read the numbers, so I decided to get a new one. This one caught my eye and I decided to buy it instead of other brands. I don't know why, unless it's because I like mustaches. The other day, I used it for a few hours to mark and measure lumber for picture frames I was making. My 4-year-old granddaughter then wanted to use it to draw lines on some scrap wood I had given her to play with. She managed to disassemble the tool and loose the spring that holds the ruler to the handle, proving that it is not child proof. But all it took was a phone call to Mr. Pen, and Eric promised to send me a new spring so I could use the tool once more. That's excellent customer service. br>br>In the mail today, I mistook the spring we'd lost for a package from Mr. Pen. I had made a huge mistake. It was a BRAND NEW COMBINATION SQUARE that they sent me. How's that for great customer service? As for me, if I need something else and Mr. Pen has it on their website, you can bet I'll be ordering it from them.
It might not be 100% perfection. However, from some of these reviews it sounds like people who wanted to save money on their daily wood working and pay next to nothing for Any tool can be used in this manner. If you're only going to use it once in a while, then go for the cheapest option. However, if it will be a daily tool of your trade, invest in some high-quality, long-lasting equipment. The only criticism I have is that the ruler part was slightly warped, so it didn't lay perfectly flat, and it could have been made of a slightly thicker metal. However, it functions properly and fulfills my requirements. And it was practically free.
It works, though it isn't extremely precise, and the ruler on mine was bent upon arrival, most likely due to shipping. I returned this one because I believe the 13-dollar Irwin is a better option. However, because the Irwin was shipped loose in a box with a heavy item, the ruler was bent on it as well. When purchasing low-cost measuring tools, keep in mind that if the item does not arrive in a box from the manufacturer, it is likely to be bent during shipping. br>br>Though not super precise, this thing does what it's supposed to do. If you just want a basic combi-tool, this is the one to get. This will work if you're square, don't need precision, and want to spend as little money as possible. However, as I previously stated, I would pay a few dollars more for an Irwin. However, after my shipping experience, I would not buy either of them (I returned both).
A question that I posed can be found in the QA section. I ordered and received the combination square after asking that question and receiving a positive response from Mr. Pen. When I first got it, I double-checked it with a speed square (which had already been double-checked) and by squaring it against a finished edge, drawing a line, flipping the tool, and redrawing along the same line, there was no discernible difference. I've used it on a few projects now and double-checked, and there hasn't been any change. I've finally found a combination square that I can rely on, and it's a great deal.
I bought the ruler because I needed a 12-inch ruler. metal T-shirt, 12 inch I didn't want to pay money for the privilege of using a square for graphite pencil sketching. I have no complaints about the ruler, but the adjustable square is a bit risky. You must pay close attention to the position of the ruler in the slot because if it is not exactly where it should be, the pin will not completely secure it. Aside from that, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
I bought this cheap square to use at work because I was afraid to use my Starret squares on the job. br>br>This garbage fell apart, particularly the locking mechanism. br>br>Since then, I've replaced it with an Irwin, which is also cheap but of much better quality. br>br>A Starret is the best. Think about it for the shop because it's heirloom quality.
Works ok. The material isn't very durable or of good quality. In addition, good rulers are an inch wide, whereas this one is only 3/4" wide. br>However, for the price, it is a good deal. It isn't exactly square, though. The structure is free of flaws. For the price, this is a decent square, but the quality isn't great. It's not something I'd trust for important work.
This tool was required to ensure that all of the pieces were cut and positioned at the correct depth and angle. I'm starting a new business, and I've learned that spending too much money can be fatal. I came across Mr. Pen's offer while looking for a good deal. The issue has been resolved! Quickly delivered and ready for use. Now that the project is complete and PERFECT, I am back up and running, and this assistant is ready for the next challenge. Thank you, Mr. Pen, and the rest of the team!.
