Selected User Reviews For Machinist Square, 2.48"x1.57" Precision Square, Wide Seat Square, L-Type Carbon Steel Right Angle Engineering Ruler Tool for Woodworking (63 x 40mm)
It's just a simple square. It had rust spots, dirt specks, and what I assumed was metal from whatever manufacturing plant it came from. It was dipped in oil and stuffed into a plastic bag that had been folded over. It was fine after cleaning it, and it now works as it should. The small plastic case is unremarkable, but it gets the job done. It lives up to expectations for the price.
The first wasn't correct, so I went back to the drawing board. The second one I got was exactly the same as the first. On both blade angles, the blades are out of square. The number of positive "reviews" astounded me. br>br>With such a large gap, it's not worth it; Even at ten dollars, it's a good deal. I get better results when I use a large box square. For small projects, I needed a smaller one.
This is an excellent desktop tool for performing small tasks that would be difficult to complete with a larger square.
is practically used every day! I use it to chedk square small precision parts, and I like how accurate and small it is.
This is a very good case. Small projects will benefit from this.
92" x 3. 15". I enjoy woodworking, and a router is an essential tool for me to perform a variety of complex and simple wood shaping tasks. Making sure my fence is "true" and square is a crucial part of setting up most router tables correctly. This precision Machinists Steel Square gives me the assurance that I'm "all squared away" (to use an exaggeration). This is a great military expression! br>br>According to the listing, the square in question has the following characteristics: "The engineering ruler's precision level is DIN 875 Grade 1," says the manufacturer. "This is a German/European precision standard that is ideal for use by woodworkers and machinists. Various sizes are available from the seller. This OXTEER Brand Machinist Square, 4, comes highly recommended by me. 92"x3. L-shaped Precision Square (15"), Wide Seat Square (15"), Precision Square (15"), Precision Square (15"), Precision Square (15"), Right Angle Engineering Ruler Tool for Woodworking (125 x 80mm) made of carbon steel. It's a fantastic price for such an important tool. br>br>I hope the information and my review were useful to you.
For God's sake, it'll only be a few hours! br>br>For machinery setup, it's a must-have. China's quality is excellent. made gauges have improved to the point where you don't have to give up lunch box twinkies for a month to replace them. br>br>Last week, I dropped mine, resulting in Rule 563 - Drop it? Toss it. Don't allow these to become a problem. The gauges on the way up jostle for position. br>br>Excellent value, with a nice case to prevent dings in storage. I'll let you know if the cal lab fails next week. br>br>Update: Cal lab was passed with flying colors.
This machinist's square is of good quality and is reasonably priced. While the blade is pinned in place, the beam/seat is wide enough to stand alone without falling over. The blow-molded case is of good quality. The square will be protected by a molded plastic case. I'm not sure about the square's steel hardness, but it appears to have been ground and lapped. If you don't need the fine precision of a Starrett square, this is a great, and much less expensive, alternative.
