There is a discrepancy between the Amazon listing and the Mitutoyo listing. The Amazon listing states that the calipers do not have a SPC port for use with the data input cable. The one or the other?

Sadly, there is not an SPC port on this device.

There will only be one time when you buy this
4/5

It has been a while since I've owned a set of low-key speakers There are cheaper digital calipers, which do the job for the most part. die every time, and even though they claim to read to the thousandth of an inch, the last digit is always 0 or 5, and there is seldom consistency with the reading. The brand engineers use is this one, and it consistently performs as it should. As well as having a large and clear display, unlike some LCD displays that can only be read when viewed from the correct angle, the touchscreen is also very fast and responsive. I am more concerned with how long the battery lasts, more than with how precise the watch is. As you have seen so many other cheap ones, it is actually a bigger deal than it appears. The one you've been waiting for only comes on when you move it, and it time-outs after a few minutes of inactivity and does not drain the battery before you pick it up in a few weeks. It is true for the cheap ones. The phenomenon of cheap calipers can be seen on YouTube. Creating calipers that take care of the battery in this manner is hard, and expensive. With other calipers, I've usually used them for a month or two, then if I want to use them again later The battery is dead. It's almost always the same thing. I'm done with that. Obtain a set of plastic dial calipers if you only need to read diameters or depths, and if 1/100th of an inch or 1/128th of an inch will do (or you just need to read small parts). Their low cost, the fact that they do the job you need, and the fact that there are no batteries to wear out make them an excellent choice.

I think it's an excellent piece of craftsmanship
5/5

This is an interesting feature. A button to turn on or off does not exist. You can wake it up by moving the slider. A 20-minute inactivity period causes the computer to shut down. There should be fewer buttons since they act as switches and can fail. Aside from that, the battery life of a Mitutoyo caliper used in my old caliper is 5 years. Although this is even better than the caliper I used to own, the electronics of Mitutoyo are highly efficient. You're the best. I have conducted all accuracy check using an old, US manufactured Craftsman micrometer zero gauge, and all tests of the gauges were done correctly, as expected based upon the calibration certificate included with the gauge. Using the micrometer gauges, we checked step and depth measurements as well. We are expecting the ring gauge to arrive tomorrow so we can check the ID jaws. However, the readings are consistent with the readings from the old Mitutoyo, so I don't expect any issues there. The slider action is very smooth, with no indication that it would wander or shift.

There will never be another caliper like it
5/5

Please note If you buy from the right seller, make sure you get it at the right price. The new model that I purchased from Amazon warehouse came with all the appropriate paperwork, a battery and showed no signs of usage when I received it. Furthermore, there is the paper that is unpleasant to smell, but keeps moisture out. It is incredible how good the caliper actually is. I found it to be smooth when measuring, with an easy-to-read screen, and it survived the coolant dump It comes in two colors a coolant variant that is silver/blue and a non-coolant variant that As a tool, it is expensive, but like other tools, it is often only necessary to invest once to reap its benefits.

There are two of these in my possession
5/5

The toolroom will be happy with this caliper. When used properly, I really like the feel and durability of these brake calipers as long as you don't drop them. Throughout my first pair of reading glasses, I used them for many years until they slowly started reading outside of the "*". They received 001 and were retired to household duty/garage duty. It is only a slight difference (in a good way) between my first and second set. There is no longer a screw needed to secure the battery door. I have not experienced any issue with the caliper due to its resistance to fluids. It is auto-off, and there is no power button to enable it. When caliper is ready to be used, it just needs to be gently slid. It does not need to be redone There is no absolute zero location as far as the system is concerned. As a good habit, I still wipe the faces of the calipers and check zero after each serious use. Eventually, I will have to buy another pair if these also wear out in 10 years.

It's amazing how good it is
5/5

Since a few years I have been using cheapie digital calipers. It's true that I would never have paid so much for calipers, but I was drinking and shopping one night and I just gave in to it. As a result of one thing, another developed. Now that I own this, I am in love with There is no understating how much easier and smoother this thing moves than any other set of wheels. Though I hadn't expected it to be a big deal, it turns out that it has a significant impact. I am able to repeat measurements on small items for the first time in years. Short and sweet, this thing is very good. Having spent the money on it was definitely worth It should be able to last for a long time.

It is harder to steal from Coolant Proof than many other products
5/5

The least I can say is that I agree. It didn't matter to me to buy the coolant proof calipers, but from all the places I looked at, it seems to be easier to spot counterfeits when buying the coolant proof model. People are selling seized Mitutoyo standard calipers that are knockoffs because the Chinese ripped off the Mitutoyo trademark. My observation was that there were no strangely different ones floating around the internet, so I guess they don't want to spend all the time knocking off these. The measurements are positively mind-blowing in comparison to any other digital caliper I've There will be no glitchy readouts, and the battery cover will no longer pop This is the best use of your time if you value it.

The system is not working properly
3/5

Calipers like this one do not measure accurately. The unit will not return to the zero measurement, and multiple measurements will result in different measurements, so there is no way to know which reading is correct. I have always used calipers and never had an issue like this. The device appears to be well constructed, but the numbers cannot It was necessary to return the device.

The product I ordered was exactly what I wanted
5/5

The CNC shop I work for bought these. I ordered and expected them to be exactly as they were. That cheap Chinese crap that good companies try to pass off as quality workmanship is not good quality. There are actually cheap lines from Sterret as well these days. There is no such thing as a true measure, so be careful when you buy what you think is a good brand. Extra money spent on good quality measuring instruments is worth it. For beater tools there is a time and a place but this is not I considered these a good deal considering their price.
