This seems to be the real deal based on everything about it. Everything from the packaging to the fitting and finish of the tool is of the highest quality. When it comes to most Japanese products, it doesn't seem like they are focused on the American ideal of "you know what, that will do" - if it isn't perfect, it will simply not leave There are many details that make it obvious that great care and precision went into each step of the manufacturing process, from the folds in the manual, warranty card, and certificate, to the staple holding the battery. The following observations are important. It is the same serial number on both the tool and the certificate of inspection. My fake came with an SR44 battery, an expensive battery hardly ever found on fakes. In the battery compartment, there was no battery, so it needed to be installed. A common feature of a fake is that it ships with a battery already installed (other than SRA44). There is no messing around with the caliper as it moves very smoothly. PP 2 is stamped on the inside, and Made in Japan is stamped on the bottom. It's a high quality case with no foam inside. However, my opinion is that there is a slight bend in the tail (which you can see in one of the pictures) and there is a noticeable resistance at about 3 inches, though it is minimal, and something you wouldn't notice unless you were paying attention. a wipe down of the surface mostly eliminated the stain. This experiment has been repeated dozens of times from 0 to 8 inches in rapid succession, In a mm. My only complaint is that the measurements from the tip of the jaws to the largest part of the caliper are the same. I am also being picky, but it is better than the other two calipers I own. This caliper is well worth the money, especially for the price it can be purchased from Amazon. The item I bought was 160 after tax, and I've seen other retailers charging $200 or more for it. The only thing I would say is that if it's not real, it's an incredible fake and it's still worth it. The fact that I registered it on Mitutoyo's website means it is not a fake. The fact that it has lasted this long with decent care clearly shows it is genuine.

I have done some research on other calipers and found them to be comparable. As far as price is concerned, I made the right choice. Based on the comments regarding the number of decimal digits after the decimal, I think 4 digits In most cases, you don't need more than that unless you are making a space shuttle. I would have given this caliper 5 stars if it had an auto-on/off feature. This weekend, I forgot to turn it off after leaving it on all week. In addition, it is still functional. The idea of keeping an extra battery on hand might not be a bad one. Oh, and by the way, as many other customers have mentioned, the item I received was not a fake. Buying it from whoever you like is all that matters I suppose?.

I took a chance because they said there would be no return fees. I researched online how to tell a fake from a real one. This tool is not fitted with the correct SR44 battery, but the serial number on the calibration certificate matches the tool. The action was smooth over the entire 200mm range. The product I purchased could not have been better.

Although I had to spend a few extra dollars, it's a legit product. It is a brand you can trust if you work in anything that requires accuracy or For years I've used other, much cheaper calipers for my personal hobbies, but I finally got tired of them due to their fiddly nature. Generally, they produced good accuracy for my work, but the issue of battery drain and repeatability were often a problem. I have been using Mitutoyo in professional environments (aerospace and research) for many years and have always been very satisfied with I finally bit the bullet for myself and am not regretting it at all.

These are most likely the calipers that are copied the most. Thousands of these are being sold on ebay for incredibly low prices. But, they are fakes and Chinese copies. If you buy the genuine calipers, make sure they are the right ones. In my shop, I have several Mity calipers, and I have found them to be superior to others I have used or.

In certain situations, such as when measuring a hole and wanting to fit something before you measure, the ability to "zero" it is excellent, as you can check the diameter difference before you try to fit. You can also see whether the hole is positive or negative before attempting to fit. In comparison to my Stanley calibrator, this is way superior in every respect. It should have an auto-shutoff feature as that is the only thing that I wish it had The feature is turned off. This caliper is very reliable and has a very long battery life. If you forget to shut the caliper off, the battery can drain without you realizing it. I highly recommend it. As well as Mitutoyo tools, I have other tools from them that are also Brand that is among the best in the industry!.

I'm sure you'll find these calipers to be of high quality, as they perform as expected. One of the downsides is that they do not turn off after being turned off. I have yet to witness this occurrence, or if they do, it takes so long that I can't. I've already left it on for too long a few times, then forgotten to turn it off, only to discover it's still on when I came back to my desk. I've used other calipers before, but I've never seen anything like that.

In terms of what it needs to do, it needs to I like it a lot!.
