No bulb is required for deck lights, only the entire light needs to be replaced. But yes, the lamp can be installed or changed from the top, however the power cord, which is connected to a low voltage feeder from the transformer, is usually buried under the deck. Prepare ahead for the installation and future replacement of the power feed by locating it in a convenient location.
Please let me know if we have the shorter ones in the near future by e-mail. We currently do not have the 4", but we will inform you if they become available.

It's very bright, but that can be fixed with a little extra effort. In addition to 16 of these fixtures, I added four in the corner of my deck. Their build quality is excellent and the quality is top-notch as well. They are easy to wire and the 3000K color is pleasant I only had one issue with these lights they were too bright for me. Although the Seller says they are not dimmable (which is true conventionally), you can dim them by adding a simple DC to DC voltage regulator between your 12V transformer and the lights. In my case, I used the "DROK Waterproof DC Buck Converter Voltage Regulator 8-pin Plug" A 22V to a 1 "15V 5V 12V 3A Adjustable Output Power Supply Transformer" can be purchased at Amazon for $17. I can dim the lights down to basically off, or crank up the voltage to full - it worked great. It runs on 12 volts.
These were installed and had been looking forward to seeing their effect at night. They are very Despite the fact that the light was not indirect, I found it to be visible in its bright, specular appearance. Indirect light often puddles on the ground beneath fixtures, so I was expecting some light to fall on it. Their beams do not shine in the direction of In order to block the direct light, I will have to make shades for these. The quality and engineering are good, but the use to which they are put is not thought out.
You have done a fantastic job. It has a very dark bronze finish A very dark gray. I like it a lot. In order to install this device, the T-shaped wire must be 12 gauge Comes with clips which secure the lights to the wall. The smaller the wire, the less it can be clipped. It is recommended.
Lights like these were awesome. They fit perfectly with Trex and are easy to install flush to the surface. It would have been better if I purchased them earlier. The installation of these four lights took only 20 minutes. I drilled a 1/4" hole and fished the wire from the transformer to the outlet.
This kind of lamp is cast metal and well built it would require just a small hole for the wire and two screws, though I just temporarily plugged two into a transformer just to see how bright they are. It had its advantages because it was thinner than an ordinary step nose, so I wasn't worried about it. The bright lights were not suited for our dark room An expanse of the sky Just by looking down at the steps when standing on the patio, you can see the steps lit up. We have gotten the thumbs down when we sit low to the light to avoid getting an eye full of a bright direct light. If you live in a neighborhood where there is one floor, they may provide a good choice.
I love these new deck lights because they are so much easier to install than the old ones. LED's have the advantage of less power drain and longer lamp life. * It also comes with a very useful wire connector that actually works. pleased with the results.
I would like to point out that the color of the product is a dark dark bronze, not light bronze as the seller is indicating. A second problem was that one of the attachment cords was missing one of the two prongs, preventing it from being used. The third problem was that half of the lights weren't This would have fallen out but for the one screw that held the short cable in place.
We'll see what time it takes to get an appropriate.
A step can be fitted with them under the lip. You only need to make one hole behind the light to route the wire. A second one illuminates the entire area on the siding at the top of the stoop. Although I like the brightness, I bought the dimmer that one reviewer recommended that I might Over $4000 more than what a contractor would have charged. My 12 volt transformer already had lighting so I only needed to add the wire and light sets. Easy connectors make this a snap to put together. I highly recommend this book.
