Questions & Answers

In its frosted form, the version still appears Can someone tell me whether anyone has tried some kind of film to cover it and reduce its brightness?

You are right that it is The frosted version is still very bright, but I changed it from clear to frosted. As far as I know, I haven't used it for any film. Certainly seems like a good idea I'm looking forward to hearing from you after you have tried

The cover of the light comes with the bracket, so how big is the lighting fixture overall? Can the bracket be removed if I want to use the light only?

A pair of Phillips head screws holds the bracket in place. It can be taken off. A light measuring eight 15/16" long, three sixteenths of an inch wide, and 13/16 of an inch deep is used. In addition to the light, the bracket extends 2 3/16".

Is this light going to last for a long time?

The 2 that have expired in the last year have been installed out of nine.

Is it possible to simply replace a bulb when it goes out or do you have to replace the entire lamp? Would you mind sharing where you can buy a bulb replacement, if it's only the bulb?

If there's a problem with the fixture, the whole thing has to be replaced. During the warranty period, our product will be supported by our support team For a one-year warranty, you can contact our customer service at There are 793/73 We can be reached at 949-9449 if you have an warranty claim.

It is well built, has enough light, and can be dimmed
5/5

A few years ago, my husband and I built a patio and after researching numerous LED lighting fixtures, we selected These LEDs come with a nice sturdy housing, a heavy stainless mounting fin, a string of 22 individual LEDs rather than 4 or 5 as many other similar products do, and they seem well-engineered. The package is sealed against the As you mentioned, the idea of having a greater number of LEDs is appealing to me so that they can remain very useful if one or a few go bad. The circuitry feeding the string must function properly, otherwise the whole thing is a loss. As I went along I purchased a few test lights to gauge the intensity before buying the dozen I'd need to light up a wall coming down steps and the sitting walls around our fire pit leading to our In my research, I confirmed that the fixture can be powered by either AC or DC power, and that the lamp can be dimmed easily with a PCM dimmer if it is powered by DC. Despite the fact that LED landscape lighting can be dimmed in some cases, not all of it can be. As a general rule, landscape lighting is powered by a simple AC transformer, since these transformers are not expensive and readily available, yet dimming requires circuitry to reduce the voltage level, which I have not been able to locate. DC dimming requires a PWM (pulse width modulated) dimmer like those built into LED strips. These are inexpensive and easily available for $5. The Amazon website offers both of these chargers as well as several other DC power supplies for about $20, the only issue being that they need to be completely protected from the elements. This is done by mounting these supplies indoors or in weatherproof enclosures that allow the unit to be kept cool by the built-in fans. A few switches control groups of lights in my masonry outdoor kitchen, where I have also mounted my switch. In addition, these light fixtures are fairly bright and certainly will light up an area where they're mounted, so dimming is something that might be worth considering. Each time I have them installed, it takes about eight minutes They are installed at the bottom of low walls, just beneath the cap of the wall. I decided to cover them with a 1" end cap overhang due to their need for 13/16" of overhang in order to prevent them from being weathered (although they are well-suited to outdoor weather) It is sealed. These lights do a good job of lighting up the stairway and other areas when they're fully on. I find that dimming them about half way provides a more attractive, subtle, but still very functional level of light. Since I have very little time to give them, I cannot predict how well they will hold up based on the time I have spent on them so far. It would be prudent to be able to replace the fixture in the future, without the need to tear apart the wall. The housing is attached to the stainless mounting fin with two screws, so the housing can be removed without removing the fin, which is mortared between the wall and Because my walls are built of stone mortared over concrete blocks, the low voltage wiring was run inside them in conduit, just under the caps, and I left a 2 foot void between each light (I filled the interior cavities of the concrete blocks, except for the top portion by each light). After unscrewing the housing, I made the hole for passing the wire pair out to the fixture somewhat larger than the wire size in order to be able to pull a bit of that wire out. With this method, I would be able to cut the wire, connect it from the new housing using staggered connections, and cover the connections with heat shrink tubing. I would then be able to Wires go through the back of the housing, so no wires or holes are visible when the housing is put It's just something to think about. A prudent step I took was to place a dab of silicon sealant at the point where the switch wire enters the housing, and also to place a very thin strip of silicone under the plastic lens to help ensure the fixture will not be affected by moisture. The water might not have been necessary, but it seems to find its way to any place it is not wanted. The bottom line is that these are VERY nice LED fixtures, and they produce plenty of warm, ambient light. The light is colored (e. g. they appear to be at 2700K, so they don't appear blue at all). I have used them on outside walls and steps, and they really look good. They are also very inexpensive for the quality you get, and I will definitely use them again if I have another similar.

I am so pleased with the customer service! My husband and I purchased six of these lights on Originally, we believed our transformer was defective
5/5

Lights still don't work when connected directly even after buying a new transformer. The lights on all but 1 of the six bulbs didn't work. As our project was to be completed the next day, we contacted the manufacturer directly and Luke was incredibly responsive. GKOLED immediately shipped 6 new lights the next I was very pleased with their performance. It was a pleasure doing business with you! Thank you so much! Since the company did what it took to fix the problem, even though there was a problem with the initial batch, I give it 5 stars!.

This light is far too powerful and is not sufficiently directional for use When I bought this light, I intended to install it as a down-light An image of a wall after being washed
3/5

However, the light is far too powerful and not sufficiently directed for the intended purpose, even though the construction is sturdy. Is still blinding even when it is installed at 4 feet high. While it may be okay for other applications, such as general area lighting, it failed to provide accent and decor lighting.

I want you to show me the way
5/5

Low voltage light fixtures like these are made to last and need to be replaced less often than cheap ones from the big box stores. The solar lights will be a waste of money! In addition to being bleach white in color, they are not very bright and are Despite the soft amber color, the light is plenty bright enough to assist us in our safety and provide pleasant evenings. Our practice is to place them every six feet You will have a gym in your back yard or pathway if you have too many. They've never failed (on a light sensor, on at night, off at dawn) during the two years they've been there. We HIGHLY recommend this product.

I am satisfied with the purchase
5/5

It is a pleasure to see these lights. The subtle lighting and easy installation make this a great choice. The quality of the product is excellent. One feature I didn't like was the cord fed to one side instead of going through The update is My purchase is still going strong, 1 year later, with no issues. The update is I've been here for 2 years and I still love it. The issues have been resolved.

The yellow has become darker
4/5

I've got it installed, and it works, and it appears to be of high quality. The wire is about 3 feet long, so you don't have to connect it to anything else. I like the light because it shows a darker yellow when compared to the landscape lighting I have. As for the price, it would have been nice to have a push splice connector bundled in with it.

It's an excellent product
5/5

I purchased two of the Kichler version of the light at the beginning of the summer but when I asked for more they were not available. As a result, I tested these Gkoled lights to see how they compare, and am really happy with them. I love these lights since they have the same high quality as the Kichler brand, but they are much easier to install, less complex, and price is 1/3.

It is important when you are dealing with electrical contractors to select the best lighting supply house that will meet your needs. I have access to many lighting supply companies and these are by far As the craftsmanship is very similar to the high dollar ones, I purchased them to build my own retaining wall and am very pleased with This is my first time using them frosted lenses 2700k , and they have been great so far, putting out a lot I highly recommend this book!.
