There seems to be less bad stuff in the water and I assume some bad stuff is removed. The filter will have to perform well in the years to come to see if it continues to deliver so many gallons. Therefore, there is an obvious discrepancy between the two, but that is entirely my fault. I called to ask if there was a chrome faucet, and unfortunately, they do not have one. Home Depot does not offer any discounts. I will be a member of the "Blended Kitchen Faucet Family" in the immediate future.
An attractive design can be found on this water filter. I like that it can fit under almost any counter and is easy to install. A bit of saltiness comes through in the flavor of the water. I thought it would be good to add an additional layer of filtering to my home because we live in the city and have a relatively new building (2004). Purchasing this product has been a great experience so far. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it fitted under our sink even better than I had expected.
