In total, it took me less than 20 minutes to setup this thing, including opening the box and setting it up. My first step was to place the assembled unit under my sink in various places. My home is in Phoenix, where our water is notoriously bad. We had terrible tasting water in our ski resort condo before we installed this, even though the water department gave us a clean bill of health. It would be interesting to know if the water was filtered before testing. Because I practically live on ice for my water, juice, and Thai Iced Tea, the bad taste of the water (1) made me a bit uneasy about its quality and (2) made me worry about its health. It is particularly concerning when it comes to widespread problems caused by lead. The installation process for the unit was very straightforward once I found that it was the right unit for us in both the under-seat and above-seat The sink and refrigerator are both used in kitchens. You will need a 3/8" connector under the sink (which is standard). It was very helpful when I had a problem with the refrigerator water filter that was sold with the product. The fridge was connected to the wall with a 3/8" system, and there were two steps in the chain I am looking at the refrigerator. Considering the fact that we don't have an under sink version for our fridge as well, we chose the under sink version Installers usually use standard connections for appliance installation. Other people have worried about TDS (total dissolved solids), but I was just worried about lead and taste. In times when you cannot even be sure the water authorities are managing lead effectively, it's nice to have this worry off of your plate. as if magic has happened in our condo because the water tastes fresh and clean now. Since I no longer have to pull out the Pur pitcher from the fridge and refill it, I no longer have to remove it from the fridge. Better yet, since I use another one of these units for the fridge, I do not have to worry about managing ice cube trays in the freezer. As soon as this filter was installed, we turned off the automatic ice cube maker feature since it tasted like poison before. There are some people who worry about the connectors. Certainly, the bugs can merely slide into the hole, but rest assured that they can't easily get back My nerves were a little jangled when the push came through I'm not sure that I agree with all of the comments made here about connectors. On the original fridge, however, it is noted that the tube needs to be cut perfectly straight if you are to use the tubing. it is important to insert the connectors all the way in until they are firmly connected. Someone mentioned a "click," but I did not see any instructions that specified one. You'll see that when you pull them out (be gentle) they're firmly in place after pushing in until they stop. I've checked for leaks for the past two months and there are no problems. As you pull out the tubing, you pull on a sleeve with your fingernail to pull out the connectors. I think that it has been implemented quite well. This company seems to do well, considering I no longer have to worry about filter changes for two years! They are going to see a considerable amount of success because of their outstanding, superb, excellent customer service. There was only one problem I had, and that was to make sure they understood what my problem was and how to fix it, which meant using this under counter version. I am very satisfied with the product. In just ten minutes, I installed and tested the water for TDS levels. They were 53 ppm, which is excellent For an example, it can reach a maximum of 500 pages per minute. After reading the reviews on leaks, I had none. All I had to do was push the water lines in and my house was dry. Prior to using this one, I used a 3M filter and could not afford we'll see what happens, Im happy with what I got, will update in Jan2021 with a PPM reading. For updates UPS, showed up today, different driver than usual, and had my filter even though it Although I have filed a claim with UPS, I have been out of pocket by 80 dollars.
