Take off the old aerator ring by turning it clockwise (looking at it from above) from the end of your kitchen water spout (where the water flows out). The one supplied with PUR faucet kit should be used in its place. There is a groove on this new one that will hold the PUR 3333B filter assembly ("filter body") securely You need to find a white sliding tab and a hole on top of the new filter body (and a black wire screen) to install the new filter. This hole should match up with the end of the spout so that you can snap the filter body around The filter body can be removed from the spout by moving the two sliding tabs toward each other. The filter cartridge inside the cylinder can be replaced by unscrewing the domed top of the cylinder with one hand while holding the cylinder with the other hand, then removing and replacing the cartridge. This should be of some assistance. Mr. Willie

As much as I dislike the taste of our tap water, I also hate the smell of it. What's the solution? Let's put this lil guy in the The filter end does swing backward rather than staying to the side due to my slightly tilted faucet (see picture), but I'm not too concerned about that. This jug is leak-proof, and it makes the water taste 10 times.
Consequently, I read the reviews and decided to buy this filter because it was good and it was cheap. It is perfectly fine for me to be healthy and fine. Following a few days of using this, I noticed I would get nauseated every time I would drink the filtered water. During the same time, I would also get anxiety and my body temperature would rise. I would literally break out in a cold Since I was unaware of what was going on before implementing this filter, I didn't know what was happening. The next day another family member in the house started to have pain in their joints, nausea, etc. I pinpointed the cause. You can use the Despite the fact that it is supposed to remove lead, mercury, and other harmful substances, I believe it releases a chemical that may affect other people's health For people who are healthy, the condition could be caused by their pre-existing conditions, or it could be caused by one of the underlying causes. There has been another review of this product from 2013 that describes the same symptoms, so there could very well be a connection!.
As far as I am concerned, it works perfectly. In a day, I use two bottles of water, each of which is 1 liter, so that is a lot of water. There is not much waste (66 oz or so) ,and the filter lasts approximately two In a few days, when it turns orange in color, I replace it. The amazing thing is when I take out the old filter, it is heavy and full of residue that was part of the tap water, so I am guessing this filter is working and trapping a lot of unwanted stuff. A new filter can be easily installed after installation of the existing one. I am able to take advantage of this since I live in a three-story condominium. You don't want to have to carry those heavy cases of water to the grocery store. There is no elevator in my condo so I have to lug everything up the stairs. This got old real fast, so I decided several years ago to switch to this filter. We did not look BTW, it seems like a good choice to me. As far as I'm concerned, it also looks good. Dishes may slide out of the way if it swings out of the way. The feature is very nice.
Besides being easier to install, the product is also faster. The Brita I had previously purchased was used for a few months before I picked up the Pur is clearly MUCH better when compared to the X. Besides being easier to install, the product is also faster. The faucet can be easily put on and off without any screws or nuts. Also, it is easy to remove, so I can easily do so. Using the Brita is also convenient because you only have to push a latch instead of twisting like you would with a Brita to switch between tap and bottled water. Brita's latch was a bit difficult to twist back and forth and eventually broke after a couple months (which was frustrating since I had already bought the system and filters for over $40). It has never been a problem for me with There are fewer steps involved in using the Pur, it's better made, it retains a higher quality filter for a longer period of time. The Brita brand used to be one of my favorites, but now I will only buy.
When we normally shop at the local grocery store, this unit was not as cheap as the one we purchased here. The trailer park where we live has a well shared with a few other RVs and mobile homes and I live in a rural area. Because of the unfiltered nature of our water, I think the old pipes from the well are in poor shape You may also like scent & taste -taste. This filter (like it's worn out- Having clean water to drink is not an option, so we're thankful for a reliable product.
I decided to try this model since all of them eventually wear out. Easy to install, one click mounts work well and are quick to install. One of my major complaints is that as soon as pressure builds, I get a squirt of water from the top of the faucet. I have read the troubleshooting, and it seems to be a design issue rather than an installation one. In fact, the mount is always wiggly and does not stay in one place like in the image it just swings from one side to Whenever pressure is applied, it remains in place. Flip it off and it flips back to the side, and the lever to filter the water feels really flimsy. I think it won't last too long, according to both my wife and daughter. There appears to be no problem with the filtration, so I hope I am mistaken. I would be happy to upgrade this rating to another star in the future. The outcome won't be known for a while. *Update 2 months after the last post. No matter if there is a filter on or not, the LED stopped working, leaking from the snap connection area more often. As there were two filters previously, I switched to the other. In two months, the LED quit working, as well as the floppy drive. As far as the battery is concerned, I hope that it is well sealed from the My expectations were not met. My recommendation would not be to purchase this product.
There is something better out there. Pur FM is an internet radio station I find the 3333 filtration system to be very effective. But these housings only last for a very short period of time. It takes about a year on average. The good news is that they're relatively inexpensive and spending $15 a year on them is not a bad idea. Although I only purchased this one six months before, it replaces one I bought before. The purification process should revert to the time when there were these, so they last at least as long as their predecessors Those internal batteries should be changed before they start leaking or restrict water flow to the point where it's no longer useful. The warranty will require that you return the system to Pur at your cost if you contact them. The remaining five faucet filters are running out, so I will buy another brand when they run out.
There was an oozing of some gross sludge from the casing's seams. However, Pur customer service says it does not have any faucet mounts in stock to replace my filter, even though my filter is still under warranty. I was told to check back with them instead of wasting my time. Somewhere they will find them, as if that is going to happen. In my opinion they should honor their warranty by replacing the faucet mount with one that is similar, however Pur prefers to have customers who are not satisfied. Pur water filters have been my go-to for about 15 years, but I will never buy another Pur product again.
