Our household water, which is run through our century-old plumbing system, was kept free of rust and bad taste. It took us a few months before we noticed that the water taste had changed.
It has been used for about 5 months in an area with very hard water. It has helped not only with the taste of our water, but is reducing the amount of etching on This filtering system has been very helpful to me.
The water filter system I am using in my NYC apartment was installed on 6/20. My filter cartridge came with it, and I ordered a replacement cartridge pack that came with two as well.
The initial installation was rather simple if you were using a standard type faucet, but you will need to use some of the adapters To order, first check to see which items are available. As I write this review, I just installed my last replacement filter cartridge. So, as I do this review, I will be ordering more. The taste of my water initially gets a positive boost after using it. As far as I can tell, each filter cartridge lasts about a month. Evidently, results will vary from person to person. Assuming that the filter lasted a month or two, it is time to replace the filter as the original flavor is noticeable after that. If I replace my next cartridge, I may update my software. There is no problem with the quality of the water, and the water flows with great speed. It might give me a better feeling about the purified water if I could be sure of its actual quality. My personal experience is that I allowed the new filter replacement to flush out for 5 minutes before ingesting any food, beverages or other products I'm being cautious just for the sake of being Nevertheless, they suggest that you keep it for one It isn't a big deal that you don't have an indication of when to replace a filter cartridge because, as previously mentioned, they are rarely The way it is is the way As long as no decent manufacturer is found in the USA, I will be doing business with this company. I would have given it 5 stars but for the lack of an accurate (or any, for that matter) indicator of the need to change the filter cartridge before notice of the change in water quality was noticed.
We filtered water for five minutes as per the directions and were able to have a glass of clean drinking After the water was filled up, we were able to place it in the refrigerator in less than a minute without the awful chlorine taste. I am now able to use filtered water for my coffee and tea without any trouble, and there is no need to purchase filtered water any longer. A professional look and feel of the stainless steel complemented the solid feel of the unit. Besides the replacement filters, we also ordered 2 additional ones. My plan is to post an update in a few weeks with any issues etc.

We have been using the system since May and can't be happier. During the first few weeks we had a two-filter pack and when we replaced the filter, I was very glad we weren't drinking that water. Our recommendation for this system is very high.
Strangely enough, the filter did not remove the moldy taste or smell. I've tried several different brands in the past, but none of them were as effective as this filter in eliminating moldy taste and odor. The difference don't seem to be much for readings, but filtered water definitely reduces odors and tastes due to mold.
*none of these filters has any protective film over them, and two of them come in a sealed plastic bag with no protective film upon them. The cartridges have been in a sealed plastic bag, so if they were handled with bare hands before they were sealed, you won't notice. To ensure the safety of my family, I boil filtered water after pouring it into a mug. If you have waste water flowing from your faucet or your water tastes or smells bad, this filter is highly recommended.
I have found this to be the most effective filter I have ever used for well water with particulates. Those others start clogging after two minutes The filters last for just 3 weeks, and they are expensive. I have been using this 1 filter for almost 2 months no problems. I am very happy with the service and will continue to use it as long as it is.
You will find this to be an excellent little filter if you are looking for an easy-to-use, fast-flowing one. It has held up very nicely, no leaks, flow is free. I have had mine over a year now. It is definitely worth checking out. I have only found a con in that it doesn't tell you when it needs changing. As far as I was concerned, I never really believed those 'indicators' on Pur or Britta anyway. Moreover, it can last as long as six.
To have extras I purchased a pack of these filters to go with the new Engdenton purifier I recently purchased. This purifier came with only one filter and it is easy to install you simply screw it into the purifier and you are ready. I already taste a more pleasant taste in my tap water after using the purifier, since I only started using it this past The durability of these projects is crucial, so I'm curious how long they last before having to be replaced.
