No, I do not believe that is true. It isn't a softener for the water. The filter only removes particles from the water.
I have no idea. It had to be customized to fit on my faucet by a professional.

After installing one for a friend, I decided to purchase this LCF filter. After about a week and a half of use, I noticed something was wrong with the water flow from the filter, much to my disgust, shock, and awe at the filth, rust, dirt, and other debris coming out of this NYC apartment. If you're skeptical, check out the before and after pictures after 1. LCF Advance filtration really blocked the @$% out of the faucet, I recommend this filter, if your skeptical check out the before and after% Use for 5 weeks. br>The DEP should fire their inspectors and hire LCF instead; LCF is on the right track. IT'S EXTREMELY WORSE THAN WATER FROM THE DRAIN. I TESTED MY METER WITH A KIRKLAND DRINKING WATER FILTER TO SEE IF IT WAS WORKING OR NOT. USE THE ATTACHED IMAGE TO CONFIRM THE RESULTS. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
I'm drinking water from this filter, and I'm enjoying it. Carson City, Nevada is a city in the state of Nevada, in the United States. Because water has a high alkaline content, this is extremely beneficial. br>br>It was simple to put together, though I did have my son tighten it up a little more. My hands are shaky. br>br>I'll check the filter capsule soon to see if there's any buildup around it that needs to be removed. It's great that four replacement filters are included.
To replace a PUR faucet filter, I purchased this. I like them, but their all-plastic construction makes them far too likely to pop and leak. I wanted a stainless steel one that wouldn't fall apart, and I liked the size (it's a little smaller than a PUR) and the filters that came with it (there were four). My issue was that it wouldn't fit my faucet because of all the attachments that came with it. I contacted the company and asked if they had any other connectors that could work, and that if they didn't, I would have to return it. If I kept it and bought an adapter locally, they offered me a $10 rebate. I agreed, and we came up with a solution. There's no need to be concerned about the filter bursting or cracking and spraying the kitchen (and me) with water. I informed my sister, who brought the adapter that came with the PUR screwdriver. She had a filter. It's identical to the one I purchased. So, if you're switching from a PUR to this one and buying the screw-on type rather than the snap-on type, keep the adapter! br>All of the above is true, but when the knob is turned off, the filter begins to run properly on the filter side. This began around the ninth month and worsened significantly by the eleventh month. And that means you won't be able to keep hot water out of the filter, which, according to my research, ruins the charcoal. Calculate whether the current price is better for you than another filter unit and the cost of the filters, assuming the filters last a year.
I got this a long time ago, but it feels like a lifetime ago now. I live in Texas, and if you read the news, you know we have a lot of water supply issues. br>br>And I'll be honest, I don't think this Filter is worth the money; it took me a long time to figure out how to install it because it came with little to no instructions; I double-checked to see if it supported the type of faucet I had in my sink, which it did; however, it took me so long to figure out the combination of things I needed to fix the Filter that it was a nightmarish experience. br>As the water passed through the Filter, I could notice a difference in taste and appearance, and it was a significant improvement, though not by much. The main issue is that, similar to how it didn't come with instructions on how to put it on, it didn't come with instructions on how to take it off so you could perform a filter change, despite the fact that they were kind enough to include four filters in total. A total of four months was spent on this project. br>br>However, as I previously stated, there was little to no real help in describing how to remove the filter, and in the process, the Filter Faucet was damaged and broken during the removal process. br>br>I'm not sure if they come with instructions or if the one I got didn't for some reason, but since it didn't help all that much to begin with, I think it would be easier (and less expensive) to just get those plastic jugs that do the same thing for less.
After giving up on the white plastic WaterDrop water filter faucet, which wouldn't stay attached due to the unit's weak threads, I ordered the LCF water filter faucet. Because the entire apparatus is dependent on that fitting, WaterDrop should have known better and provided one. Now that that's out of the way, let's get back to the LCF water filter faucet. br>br>Thanks to metal fittings, the LCF faucet took only five minutes to install and worked as advertised. I used the WaterDrop filter that fits inside the LCF unit on the spur of the moment, and it fit perfectly, so I should be able to use up my existing supply of those filters. Only time will tell how well it holds up.
I had run out of replacement filters and was in desperate need of more. They were difficult to come by on Amazon, and when I did, I discovered that the price of a new filter had risen to over $10, with a replacement filter costing even more. Higher by 00. Then I discovered that purchasing just the replacement filters was the same price as purchasing the entire kit (filter and replacements). I'm extremely enraged.
