Because this is a non-corrosive faucet, it should be used with caution. To fit the stem of an air gap faucet, you only need a 7/16" diameter hole. You should be able to fit the stem of the faucet into that hole with a 3/8" drill bit.
a quarter inch installation of an airgap It's possible that the threaded tube is brass plated. You can use a 1/4" or 3/8" poly, PEX, or copper supply line, but copper for any supply lines after filtration is not recommended. It oxidizes when it comes into contact with certain substances in water, resulting in sour water and ice cubes.
The black gasket's diameter is the same as the escutcheon plate's diameter; As a result, when the black seal is installed, it is hidden and invisible.
Thank you for reaching out to us with your query. The faucet does not include a quick connect fitting, but it does include a compression fitting for 1/4" tubing. Look for item B01HUBVDI4 if you're looking for a 1/4" quick connect faucet adapter.

For 3/8" tube, an adapter is required. Next to my Delta kitchen faucet, it looks great. The engineering is my most serious gripe. They include a tool to help with installation, which it does, but the connection is only for 1/4" tube? Is this for real? 3/8" tube is used in the majority of reverse osmosis systems. Why not include a $2 adapter in the package as well? I had to go to the hardware store several times, and the transition from 1/4" compression to 3/8" tube was not easy. When I showed the plumbing supply store the schematic for transitioning from 3/8" tube to 1/4" tube on the box, they laughed at me. I eventually found the correct adapter in another review for this product, and once I had it, installation was ten times easier to connect; however, this project, which should have taken an hour, took weeks. Nobody wants to struggle to reinstall an old faucet, so there was no clean drinking water. It's difficult enough to work under a sink. Just make sure to include the proper link!.
Although the oil-rubbed bronze faucet is attractive, it has begun to leak from the handle area, leaving hard water stains all over the base. I spent nearly $50 on my purchase. 00 on a faucet that I'm about to toss out and replace after less than a year. br>br>UPDATEbr>Mepture contacted me and sent me a replacement for my faucet. Although I have yet to install it, I have changed my rating from one to three stars. After I've had a chance to use it for a while, I'll update my review. br>br>UPDATEbr>Mepture has provided me with a replacement faucet. I've been using it for a couple of months and it's fantastic. br>br>UPDATEbr>I've had this faucet for more than two years and it still looks and functions beautifully.
Very nice faucet (mine is brushed nickel to match my sink faucet), well-made, and simple to install, even in a standard faucet hole. The instructions are inadequate (one small diagram on the back of the box) and do not exactly correspond to the contents of the box, but if you've already installed a regular faucet, this one should be no problem. The fact that this faucet comes with hardware for a 1/4" tubing connection rather than the more common 3/8" tubing connection is a major flaw and the reason for the 4/5 star rating. There is no mention of this anywhere on the website. If your filter system uses 3/8" tubing, like mine, you'll need to buy a $9. The addition of a 99-part universal quick connect adapter raises the price by $10 (and, in my case, introduces a one-time charge). Installation will be delayed by a week).
There are no leaks, drips, or poor flow, and it appears to be in good working order. If you're using this for a home RO system, consider using 3/8" ID tubing between the bladder storage tank and the faucet, especially if you're using it on a well with high TDS / pumps. The standard is 1/4", but if you're going for a long run and want a lot of positive flow, go for the 3/8". Adapters that allow you to do everything in 3/8" from the tank can be purchased. It makes no difference before the tank, but it is crucial between the tank and the faucet.
The faucet has a nice finish and a good appearance. I can't comment on long-term durability and functionality because I just installed it, but the handle works fine. br>br>The installation tool that comes with the product is useful and facilitates setup. br>br>It took some time and a couple of trips to the hardware store to figure out how to connect the 3/8 inch line from the filter to the 1/4 inch compression fitting intended faucet. I eventually purchased a length of 1/4 inch soft copper tubing with a 1/4 inch brass compression sleeve and used the compression nut that came with it to connect it to the faucet. A 1/4 to 3/8 converter quick disconnect fitting was connected to the other side of the copper tube, and that completed the task. br>br>My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a good gasket or rocker that can be used with only a 1/2 inch hole, which is what it requires. I drilled my own 1/2-inch hole in the sink's flange, then cut the thinner larger rubber gasket to fit under the faucet at the top of the flange, and used the thicker smaller gasket that came with it on the underside. Precut holes for spray hose appear to be built into the rocker and nylon.
The product has a nice weight to it, and it appears to be a high-quality foundation. The valve is smooth in its opening and closing. In my kitchen, the design is ideal. The spout tube does not make a secure connection to the base, so I only gave it three stars. It appears to be quite frail. The nut was tightened all the way to the hard stop, but the spout still wiggles back and forth about /- Slop is 1/4" for a total of 1/2". At this connection, the internal components are plastic with two o-rings. To keep leaks at bay, use rings. I'm concerned that this joint is fragile and will break down over time, and I considered returning this faucet because of this, but for the price, it will suffice. All I have to do now is rotate the spout with care. The valve lever does not have a spring mechanism, for those who are curious. Simply rotate the lever, and the valve will remain open until you close it. In any case, I had never used the spring function on my previous faucet.
Brushed Nickel finish is brighter and lighter, or you can match it to Moen's 'Spot Resist' stainless. The faucet is of good quality. Using with our water filtration system installed under the sink. The valve works well and is simple to use. It's a significant upgrade from the cheap plastic RO faucet that was originally installed by water softening and filtering companies. br>br>Nice match to our Moen 'Spot Resist' stainless steel main kitchen faucet (more like other brands brushed nickel finishes), and a little lighter and shinier than the Kohler Brushed Nickel Air Gap cover, but close enough for our setup. If you're a do-it-yourselfer, the installation was relatively simple. The instructions on the box are marginally adequate; however, keep in mind that the hole-finding plastic bevelled plate must be placed beneath the sink.
