Excellent product that was delivered on time and was simple to set up. It appeals to me because it has a pull-down hose but isn't as bulky as some other faucets. Our new bar area will look fantastic with this. The black version was purchased. This is a quality item.

The first thing that comes to mind about this faucet is how appealing and well-made it is. It's a beautiful faucet with nice flowing lines. The wide base narrows toward the top before widening again at the spray tip, giving the whole a sense of symmetry. br>br>Delta is known for producing high-quality plumbing accessories, and this one is no exception. Because of the electronic components that allow for touch control, it's a little more difficult to install than a standard faucet. Also, because of those components, it's more expensive- However, you should be able to use this faucet for many years. br>br>The faucet is controlled by a standard handle on the faucet's base that adjusts a standard cartrridge valve that combines temperature and flow rate. This faucet has the unique ability to be turned on and off by touching any metal part of the faucet once the temperature and flow rate have been set using conventional methods. When metal is touched, an electric solenoid is activated, and a separate valve on the faucet is operated, which simply starts and stops flow to the faucet head. So you use the normal handle to set the temperature and flow, then touch the faucet to start and stop the flow. br>br>Touches should last approximately 3/4 of a second. If you keep your hand on the faucet for a longer period of time, the sensor will assume you're moving the faucet head and will not turn on the water. Touches that are only a few seconds long are not detected. I've found that the touch operation is a little tricky for guests who instinctively reach for the handle and are frustrated when it doesn't turn on, but after a week, you get used to it. A six-volt battery supplies electricity to the faucet's electronics. A set of AA batteries. br>br>Moen makes a similar faucet called "Motionsense," which uses motion and a sensor window in the faucet base to operate. Battery power is required by Moen's system as well, but it can be converted to AC power. The Kohler "Sensate," a similar faucet that runs on AC power, is made by Kohler. I prefer AC to batteries, though AC does necessitate the use of a GFCI circuit. If you don't have a garbage disposal, there may be no outlet under your sink. br>br>The faucet rests on a 3/8 inch high black flush plastic base. br>br>If you do, the outlet may be switched, so batteries are the simplest and most foolproof solution for a manufacturer to provide. Three multicolored LEDs inside the plastic display the temperature of the water. br>br>The electronic system turns off the water after four minutes to save water and prevent inadvertent touches. You have the option of repeating the process. Re-establish flow by touching the faucet. This is usually only an issue if you like to run warm water over frozen food to dethaw it. If that's the case, you might find this restriction annoying. br>br>The spray head of the faucet is attached to the end of the faucet stem with a strong magnet, which is a feature that should be included in every removable spray head faucet. br>br>Now for some cautionary notes. This faucet performs admirably in most cases, but it can be aggravating when it malfunctions. Also, while the Delta warranty covers the original owner for as long as they own their home, the lifetime warranty only applies to standard faucet parts. Electronics are only covered for five years, and I can tell you from personal experience that Delta is not lenient with this restriction. If a problem arises after five years, you will be responsible for the cost of the parts. A new solenoid for this faucet can cost anywhere between $140 and $180, depending on where you buy it. It will be at the top of that range if you get it from Delta. br>br>So, while I like the look and convenience of this faucet, it can be very expensive to own if you have electrical problems down the road; $180 for a new solenoid is the cost of a fairly nice faucet on its own. You must decide whether or not you value touch control. faucet with the senses We quickly came to the conclusion that the battery-powered device was not to our liking. I wanted to replace the sensor system with a more traditional faucet because it was prone to misfiring and was generally inconvenient. I'd had positive experiences with Delta in the past, so I was looking forward to the opportunity to do so again. It looks fantastic (which comes as no surprise) and feels extremely high-end (which also comes as no surprise). Installation was simple, and I know Delta backs up their products with a lifetime warranty, so I'm confident I won't have to replace it anytime soon. br>The spray head option is one of my favorites: Like other faucets, you can press the button to activate the water spray rather than the regular stream, but unlike others, it will remember that setting until you turn it off. This was something that irritated me about other faucets that would shut off on their own. When using the spray function to clean something out, I sometimes want to turn off the water and then turn it back on, and pressing the spray button again was always an unnecessary step. I suppose some people assumed this is how they should all work, but I like how this one will stay in that position like a switch until I reset it to the original position. To better illustrate, I've attached a video. Overall, another high-quality product from a reputable brand.

I'm looking forward to putting it in my new "coffee station/mini bar. " Outside of my home office, I converted an old linen closet into a mini kitchen, complete with a bar sink and Emmeline faucet. I like how the touch technology can tell the difference between a mistaken and a deliberate touch. Only time will tell if the cat is able to turn it on and drink from the sink. To be honest, one of my favorite features is that I can disable the battery-powered touch feature if the cat decides to play with it. The faucet will then operate in the same manner as a standard faucet. Hopefully, he'll figure out how to turn it off as well. Once it's up and running, I'll update this review.
