Based on the many positive reviews, I decided to purchase this replacement faucet for my kitchen mini sink. It appears to be a very good product, and I enjoyed it immensely. I noticed the knobs were loose to the touch after installing the faucet, which I was able to fix by tightening some screws. However, the faucet's "stem," as I'll refer to it, is loose to the touch and wobbles back and forth (as seen in the video). My brother is a plumber, so I had him look at it, and he said there was nothing that could be done. I'm afraid I'll have to return it.
This was a replacement for a fixture that had been in use for at least 50 years and had worn out. br>The replacement is superior to the original simply because it is newer and, most likely, better constructed. br> A word of caution - Please contact a plumber if you're replacing a 50-year-old fixture. He had trouble removing the old one because of the way it was installed. br>However, I cannot speak highly enough of the fixture.
This faucet is one of my favorites, and I was thrilled to see it on our brand-new bar! Unfortunately, once we got the granite counters, we discovered that the pipe beneath the handles that carries the water isn't long enough to fasten with the nut provided AND attach the water line, so I guess I'll have to eat this one! Bummer! br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. I was able to return the faucet after all. Check to see if it will fit on your counter; it's quite lovely!.
I purchased this for an optometry practice and was waiting for the remodel to be completed before installing it. Around 4 p. m. , it was installed. The sink looked great for the first five weeks. It was beautiful to look at and functioned flawlessly. I noticed a small speck of rust on the faucet after about 3 weeks of use (which is hardly any, as we rarely have a full shop). I thought it was just a small spot at first, and it didn't bother me at all, but when the rust started to take over the faucet, I was furious that I had spent money on it only to have to throw it away and replace it with something else. I'm still waiting to hear back from this company, as I wrote to them in the hopes that I had simply received a defective faucet and they could replace it. This sink does not rust, so I do not recommend it.
This is a solid all-steel/brass faucet that installs easily and reflects quality for a low price; my only criticism is that it will be difficult to repair a leaky faucet in the future. Seal materials are nearly impossible to come by. The documentation and instructions that were provided were appalling.
The neck swivels, it's made of metal, and it's simple to put together. I am very happy with my purchase.
Replaced faucet is very nice. There is no plastic in this piece; it is entirely made of brass. The chrome plating is real, and it's incredibly simple to put on. To avoid having to work with your hand up and under the sink, follow the instructions and wrap fittings with teflon tape before installing the faucet. Teflon tape is an excellent way to ensure a leak-free installation. If your flex supply lines are usable, you might not need the water supply line nuts or rubber gasket. If you need new lines, go to your local hardware store and get some [bring your old ones] Anyone should be able to complete this installation on their own[age and agility not withstanding].
I had to learn the hard way and had to return the "junk" to others. This is my second purchase from KB, and I am very pleased with their product.
