What if I have a square drain? Will this work?

If you use an oatey square drain 42264, the inner ring measures 3 and a half inches diameter and 1 inch tall. It is hard to say if it will work with your drain because it depends on the type you use.

If you remove the levelers after floating, do you fill the gaps left behind with cement? Or do you leave them in place after floating?

You can leave them in their current position. Then you must fix them to the ground. It is a good idea to buy two or more kits, so you can prevent low spots and have easier consistency. You are probably not an expert DIY'er if you do it yourself, but having more options will make it You can make a ring out of plastic and surround it with gravel. The tub will be converted into a walk-in shower. The bathroom will be 5' x 7'. I liked this system because it worked well for us DIY'ers. To float the mortar mix for the shower slope, you will need to use a lot of muscle. The following was mentioned by another reviewer Placing gravel over weep holes and securing the sticks to the floor will keep them in place. It would have been nice to have ordered a "weep hole protector" along with the system. The package came with six sticks, but may have been better with two more.

It worked well for a walk, but I had to cut off the extras The shower slope is on the left. As a result, the slope kept going off because I had to get rid of them.

I don't know of six sticks, I only know of four The "extra sticks" kit had to be order

In the picture, there are 6 sticks, but when I got them I only got 4. Since I only got 4, I had to buy the extra stick kit for about 30 It is a very sturdy and high quality product, even though it is expensive. It is misleading to look at them.
