Questions & Answers

Does the rubber/silicone material used for the two lower sweeps represent a rubber/silicone composite?

There are rubber or silicone parts on the lower half of the device. It is made of hard plastic at its upper part, which attaches to the glass.

The question is, how are you going to ?

The cut was smoothed with the aid of a dremel sanding bit and fine tooth hack saw. Besides that, I would only suggest that you measure precisely and examine in detail how the attachments are made. It took me multiple attempts to get the placement exactly right so that the door closed properly and sealed Do not measure once but three times. Once you install it, it will stay installed. You can tap in your pieces of wood with a rubber mallet and a small piece of rubber. You will eventually get into the right placement if you take your time. It would be nice if I could remember my own advice if ever faced with that situation again!

What if I have a curved shower door? Will this work with one?

Calculated on the basis of the radius of the Although slightly flexible, it is not very rigid

Can this device be used on glass doors that are 3/16 inch thick?

The smallest that I could find (1/4") I ordered. There is no way for it to remain on the door. The silicone application is being debated. You should be very cautious about other methods that claim the 1/4" fits the 3/16".

This product cannot be used with 1/4" shower doors
3/5

My 1/4" thick shower door is not compatible with the product I received. Our only option was to bend the material back using pliers in order to fit it on. There was still a lot of strain on the door and the Due to the hardness and shape of the material, it immediately popped off everyone we put it on. It will end up being cut off the back end and adhered to the door using clear silicone, but I am disappointed that it does not work properly.

I just like how it fits
5/5

There was a problem with the original bottom sweep on my shower door, and I have had difficulty finding a replacement that did not catch on the So that the soft plastic drip rail on the sweep clears the bottom of the glass shower door frame, the hard plastic drip rail appears to be even with the bottom of the 1/4" channel on the glass shower door bottom. There is also a soft pliable edge on the sweep that I was able to remove with a box cutter to ensure that my door would Therefore, I was able to replace the original sweep with a little bit of troubleshooting. One of the main requirements for a sweep was that it should have a drip rail that is consistent with the bottom channel and not extend lower (preventing the door from closing) as most of the sweeps I reviewed did.

This well-crafted door seal slides easily over the bottom of a glass shower door, and looks terrific
5/5

The fabric is durable and double-stitched My glass shower door was perfectly sealed by a layer of seal that slid on. As it turned out, I would need to trim down the length to fit my door, but I would have done that anyways. One problem is that I have to exert a bit more effort in closing the door after it fits snugly under the shower This concept might be viewed as a plus since it deters people from accidentally slamming the glass door. While I contemplated shaving a millimeter off the bottom, I was worried that I would end up gouging out chunks around the edges and ruining the top. If I shave just one off of each of the two catches at the bottom, maybe the resistance will be eased enough to open and close the door easier. I might give that a shot when I get around to it.

The board can be easily cut and trimmed to fit tightly against It is not necessary to seal the envelope
5/5

This is an easy cut and fit product. A drip shield is located at the top edge of the frame to the bottom, doors do not protrude past the It is just wide enough for me to close the shower door in between the door and the So, I needed to cut two plastic sweeper blades for closure, which I was able to accomplish easily with a Furthermore, I needed to cut a length of hard plastic to match the doorframe with the utility scissors. I did not need to seal it to the The fittings were tight and there was no leakage.

The stuff is great
5/5

The shower door sweep was 8 years old and had to be replaced. The 1/4 glass door almost perfectly fit this enclosure. Remember that trimming is necessary to make the garment The hack saw I have is a blessing. Taking the old one out, I placed it side by side with the new one and marked the length on both of them. My was also slightly too large for me, so I had to do a little trimming. The new one looks 100 times better than the old one, but it's too early to tell how long it will last. I have no problem removing the artwork from the board every now and then to clean, since no adhesive was needed this time.

Worked like a charm! My shower has a sturdy one that is much better than the one that came with it
5/5

There is a harder plastic in the middle that is more difficult to cut. While I used a box cutter to cut the rope, a hack saw would probably be just as effective.

Dimensions of the sweep are incorrect
3/5

The description of dimensions of the sweep is incorrect. The sweep is stated as 36 It measures 4 inches by 1 inch. Because it is only 3/4" wide it would leak out from under the door it was purchased for because it is 1/4" too narrow. There is no way to contact the seller. I would need to return the sweep since it was No point in returning it, but it can't be used either.
