If you want to use it on textured glass, you can. "Water fall" is the style of texture on our shower door. I have replaced the seal with this part twice already.
There is no way that a gap of one inch would cover this gap, hope this helps you to make the right choice.

It is an easy to install and works great door seal. As the 36 inch seal came in a 30 inch box, the last six inches were bent over and therefore not able to be used. Because I only have a 24 inch door, I was able to trim off the bad end for use.
Seal fits well, and I received my package within a reasonable amount of time. A crimp was caused in the seal by being packaged in a box that was about 6 inches too short, resulting in the seal being bent in order to fit into the box. The section of the seal that was not usable could not be used. I was able to cut off the damaged section of the cloth since I did not need the entire length. It's too bad the packaging was so disappointing.
There is no way to tell whether I got a bad seal, or if this particular product is inferior. Once it was ripped, it fit perfectly and was easy to install. It's only been one month since it was installed. The cost of this product was low enough for me to order one more to try, so I will do so.
Getting the proper size shower door (3/16 inches) was a breeze after I measured the door's thickness. A perfect fit and excellent hold were achieved. In order to get it looking nice, I spent a few minutes cleaning the bottom of the shower door and the bottom of the shower frame. It had to be cut to the correct length, but with a small hacksaw it was easily done. The product came very fast as well. I'm glad to know things like this are available on Amazon for us DIY amateurs.
Some people complained about their shower door sweep seal being bent by the packaging although my shower door sweep seal arrived in a box that was longer than it was long, so I thought the packaging was okay. We did not have any problems cutting the sweeps to the correct dimensions. This shower curtain was very snugly attached to the shower door, which is good, because there is no way it could fall. It does what it is meant to do, so it's a fine product.
This seal has been found to run down the lip of the door when water splashes on it (as is to be However, what I did not anticipate was that the water will flow through the lip to the base of the door frame, where it will then follow that surface directly to the outside. After that, I got on.
The old curtain sweep on my shower door was starting to break, so after doing a little research, I went with According to the schedule, the item was delivered on time. After removing the old sweep and unpacking it, it only took maybe 15 minutes to install and trim the new one. In the beginning, I used vaseline to grease the bottom of the door in order to slide the new sweep on. It was a tight fit but I have not experienced any problems with it wanting to come off since I installed it. Despite the fact that the shower door leaks at the bottom, it works great.
It is therefore highly recommended!
I did not need to use sealant since the door sweep stayed on the shower door without it. The sweep would have been held in place IF it had not stayed on with masking tape or some kind of adhesive, after applying a bit of Shoe Goo, or Tub & Sink. Glue caulk for tile joints.
