Questions & Answers

What are the possibilities for screwing the strip ?

It can be seen that the magnetic strip has a channel through which it travels. It does not matter whether the magnetic strip is present. There's a 1/2 inch channel underneath the door that I need as part of the sweep. To date, I have only seen three eighths of an inch. It's a pleasure to meet

Would I be able to return them if for some reason this didn't fit my shower door slots?

The vendor ought to be able to answer that question for you, but I'll let you know my personal opinion

What should I do if I want to install it on both sides ?

Only one strip is needed on the frame, and you should leave the one on the door intact. My door worked perfectly with only one strip installed.

Where do I find instructions on how to install this? Where can I find instructions for this product?

In the area where the shower door closes, there should be two small channels on the frame. By pulling the old strip out, it simply disappears. WD-40 can be used to free it if it is stuck You can also spray an old strip with 40 and let it set for a few minutes and then pull it out using Slide the new strip (wide side with tabs) into the channel with the wide side facing the frame. The best way to handle this is to start at the top and work your way Thanks for reading. I hope it's helpful. The new strip takes about 5 minutes to install. Once you have it installed, you can simply cut off the extra with a pair of side dike.

I have a "weak magnet" issue, and I am going to tell you how to fix it! My existing magnet on my shower door was falling apart, and I bought this to replace it
4/5

After carefully removing the old magnet, I added it to the door, but the door would not close. When touched together, it had no effect, and it was very obvious that the magnet was weak. Initially, it did not make any sense to me why half the reviews said the magnet worked perfectly but the other half said there was no magnetism at all. After installing the new magnet, I thought maybe I had messed up the opening alignment, but adjusting was not enough to solve the problem. Using the piece left over after I had cut it off, I was finally able to find the solution. I installed the strip upside-down and it results in what appears to be just a weak magnet that won't be able to keep the door shut. However, when pulling the strip out and rotating it 180 degrees clockwise and reinstalling I have successfully solved the problem. The organization would just have to include a simple set of instructions, and they wouldn't have to worry about any of the one-off problems There are reviews here that have five stars. If you're selling a simple magnet strip for around $30, it would be nothing to include some instructions. You could save a lot of people a lot of time and effort. If you are not aware of this, one way of installing it is with the flat side of the magnet face up towards the shower, but since there are only magnets on the left and right side of the magnet, you have to guess whether or not to install it upside down. When I took the magnet out of the shower, rotated it 180 degrees, and put it back in, the shower closed easily. Although the magnet in this door is not as strong as the magnet in our other shower that still has its original magnet, the door is certainly strong enough to stay shut without any issues.

Make sure your shower door strip is in good shape before you install it
5/5

product has great features and is easy to use. As you can see, this magnet stuff was holding my door closed and I did not even realize it! Initially, I was not aware of the fact that the screw that appeared in what seemed to be very helpful reviews was the screw that held the door edge and strip A magnetic strip is located at the edge of this edge. In my case, there were two screws. They should be positioned at the top and the bottom of the page. If you intend to install the magnetic strip, you will need to remove it from the shower door. I hope this will help some people who may be as clueless as I was. As you can see, it all works very quickly once you understand how it works! There is a general consensus that the strip should be inserted In the process of taking the door strip holder/edge off, it occurred to me that I couldn't insert from the top because about 1 inch below, my edge was pinched tightly - There is no way of knowing if that is how it was designed or if former owners did it. Thus, I slid my magnetic strip in from the bottom (not surprising, as the old one had come out in pieces) and wedged it as tightly as I could into the "pinch" below the top edge of the screen. Would you mind if I took one inch off It comes with extra strip (it is longer than you need) so I just put that on top of the strip. Despite my steep learning curve, I still managed to accomplish the task in about an hour and a half. There is a good product here and it's something you can certainly It was my peers who made me realize that it was definitely a DIY project - thanks to you all I saved myself quite a bit of money by using this site. There is no limit to what you can accomplish!.

This is a replacement magnetic strip for the Sterling 2200A shower door
5/5

The shower door accessories are exact replacements for the Sterling Neoangle 2200A I received the product within four days of placing my Coiled strip came on a roll. As you know, I am The new strip must be measured and cut before it can be inserted into the door channel from the bottom up, pushing a short segment at a time as close to the edge as possible so it doesn't snap. The magnetic strip was held in place by crimping it with a nail head wrapped in cloth and a plier wrapped in cloth near the top of the shower door. I believe $27 is a bit steep for such a small product, but I have yet to find a better alternative.

It is easy for a homeowner to replace
5/5

It is important to remember that magnetic strips are polarized. During the eight years of service on a Quality Enclosure Framed Swing Shower Enclosure, both magnetic strips (one on the frame, one on the door) rusted and broke. As for the magnetic strip on the frame, it was easiest to remove it. Apply Windex to the track so that it slides out of the top of the groove easier. Clean the channel by spraying Windex on it. New row of strips should have ridges on their left side slide them downward. Trim the top of the strips with a pair of sharp scissors. This door is more difficult to open than the others. Loosen the screw at the top of the Allow the old strip to pass upwards out of the channel by gently tweaking or tapping the frame outward. Match the bottom of the new magnetic strip to the channel by cutting it with a 45 degree angle on the left ridge. Windex can be sprayed on an empty channel to lubricate it. Use sharp scissors to trim at 45 degree angle at the top of the new magnetic strip. Slide the magnetic strip with the ridge on the left downward. Reattach the top of the frame gently by tapping it or tweaking it. Ensure that the screw is tight. That's all you need to do! br>Given that the magnetic strips are polarized, remember not to use them. If the door is closed, the ridges from the opposing strips should be on opposite sides so that, when the door is closed, the magnets will attract rather than repel each other.

It is easy to set up and fix this From our shower door, we've got black pieces falling out
5/5

I was unsure if this would fit and if it was the right part for the door, since we had never had that before. I was able to install it in no time after it arrived. Having to build from the bottom was what we had to do. We were able to avoid disassembling the door because it is a flexible material. It was just a matter of sliding it in from the bottom and installing a screw to prevent it from sliding.
