I love the way that it snaps onto the glass nice and tight and doesn't move at all even if it isn't completely pushed up. There is enough clearance between the door and the floor for the closer to slide on half way and stay in place while opening and closing the door. (if the space between the door and the floor is increased)
The box cutter was just used to measure and cut.
Despite the heavy weight of the sweep, it is very flexible at the bottom. To make a tight seal, they can easily be bent. If you were not aware of how much clearance you have, cutting them with a razor blade would be a simple process, but making a straight cut and keeping a good seal would be very difficult.
Glasses thinner than 1/2 inch may not be used in this device. It would be a good idea to measure your shower door with a caliper. Frameless glass shower doors come in sizes of 3/8" and 1/2" most commonly in the United States. It is semi-automatic There are no frames on framesless doors. They are 1/4" or 5/16" thick.

It would have been nice if the bottom wipers (like windshield wipers) were softer and did not snap forward or back as the door moved. Edges with softer content may help prolong wipe lifespan (no tearing or breaking, e. g. The difference between 10 years and 20 years. This is the fifth year). As far as the door frame is concerned, they dry it well and clean it.
As a matter of fact, this is exactly what I need to replace a shower door sweep. There was a split in the original and it was a bit grubby (as a result of Using the old sweep as a template, I measured where I needed to cut the new sweep, used my Dremel to cut the new sweep, and installed it on the new This is a very simple process. Observe the following By cutting the shower door sweep at the hinge end, the cut will be hidden at the hinge end and you'll have an edge flush with the shower door.
A crack appeared on one of the ends of the product, however the product was as described. During transit, this is likely to have happened. However, since I had to cut it to size anyway, it was toward the end of the piece, so it was much longer than I needed. A thin piece of plastic was all that was used for packaging. A credit to the seller, the larger bag that the item was transported in stated that it was not to bend. Although I think it should be bubble wrapped in addition to being in a thin plastic bag, I think it should be bubble wrapped. In the case of a break occurring in the middle of the unit, I would not have been able to use it.
Luckily I gave my band saw a test run far from the actual sizing location and had lots of flying splinters. The user may find it safer to slide a 1/2" wooden strip into the slot before trying to cut it with a hacksaw or bandsaw to avoid problems. I was able to mount it on my 1/2-inch glass shower door after it was completed.
As long as your shower door is the appropriate thickness, this sweep will function properly. To get the right door width, it's easy to cut it with a utility knife. Once it is on the bottom edge of the door, simply slide it into place and you are done. In order to ensure the gap between the edge of the door and the window opening was covered, I cut mine a little longer then I rounded the corner of the upper bracket since the overhang created a sharp edge. About an hour and a half was spent on the entire process.
Water leaks from our shower door have plagued us for the last 10 years. It took 10 minutes for this product to fix all the leaks. My bottom seals had to be custom cut to fit the actual dimensions / clearances of the door, but it was easy to cut and does the job very well. It's now a lot easier to take a shower without getting too concerned with how wet the floor gets. The information is valuable, and I wish I had discovered it.
This works and leaves the bathroom floor clean since there is no more water flowing out of the bottom of the shower. Perfect! I saved a whole lot of aggravation by ordering from Home Hardware Solutions and having them cut it to size. It was definitely worth it and I would strongly recommend it.
My experience with this product has been great, so I don't know why so many people complain about it. My pack saw had a fine blade attached to it, so I cut it with The cracking of it was never an issue. I found it to be very simple to install. It's a good price for the product, but you'll want to cut it with a hacksaw. Do not use clippers or scissors, or anything else that will hurt your skin.
