Questions & Answers
Please double-check, but these appear to be for a 56" opening. I believe they make one that is smaller.
A tub will not fit in the 76" tall model. You must purchase the tub model, which is the shorter of the two.
The term "frameless" refers to the doors themselves, which have no frame and are made entirely of solid glass. Of course, there will be frames on the top and bottom for the door tracks, as well as on the sides of the tub to keep the water out. There's no way to avoid having a side rail unless your tub is perfectly plumb/square, or water from the shower spray will leak.
1 5/8". You shouldn't be concerned about water leaking out. The doors are sufficiently overlapped to prevent water from leaking in. More information is available in my review.

The unit came with two small plastic spacers that are required when attaching the towel wracks to the door. The spacers were far too narrow, causing the wrack handles to move around when tightened. On the top roller, where they were mounted to the door, a similar spacer was used that should have been used with the wracks. I called and sent pictures to customer service, asking for a couple of these parts, which will most likely cost me $. Parts valued at $50. When I asked if I could buy the parts elsewhere, they said no, that they were the source and did not sell parts! For such a high-end item, this is ridiculous. Purchase at your own risk, with the hope that you will never require parts!.
In the end, it appears to be a success. Make certain that the shower pan is level. I double-checked the sides but didn't check the pan until after installation, when I discovered it wasn't level. I was able to compensate by raising the top bar on one side and making a shin out of a piece of wood and scrap aluminum from the top rail. Don't bother calling Customer Service for assistance; he's a complete waste of time. The wood shipping crate was split, but the contents were well-packaged. The inner box was unaffected. Without a bar on one side, doors are difficult to open. It's possible that this won't make sense until you've completed the installation. I drew a small L-shape on a piece of paper. I used a shaped lip to cover one of the bar screws on each door. The issue has been resolved. I enlisted the assistance of our handyman. It took about two and a half hours to complete the project. Vacuum glass carriers had been purchased, but they were not required.
And, depending on your application, if you don't have to drill through tile, it can be simple to do it yourself. A DIAMOND drillbit is available at Lowes if you need to drill through tile. CONCRETE OR GLASS BITS SHOULD NOT BE USED TO DRILL TILE. The doors are smooth and work well, but the glass is 3/8 inch thick and heavy, so you'll need some assistance. If your walls are slightly out of level, this glass door will work because the rollers and stationary fasteners on stationary glass can be adjusted. Love them.
The glass doors he recommended cost up to $600 more than this set! And there were no handles on the bars! We were completely blown away by this set! The doors are solid and well-made. They were the ideal finishing touch for our newly renovated bathroom. They also do not leak in any way. Because we have well water, which leaves white spots, we use a squeegie after most uses. The doors, on the other hand, are a breeze to clean. They are fantastic! They've received compliments from all of our family and friends! even your mother-in-law.
The quality of the rest of the machining is also excellent. I completed the installation myself, thanks to the excellent instructions. The glass is 10mm thick with beveled edges and is nicely cut. The two small shower door Guide Blocks that attach to the threshold are my only suggestion. A single block with the two door guide grooves machined in it appears to be much sturdier (and easier to place) and possibly less expensive to produce. Overall, we're pleased with these shower doors. br>br> They're the ideal finishing touch for our newly renovated bathroom!.
The hardware has a quality finish and fits well, the rollers are incredibly smooth, the directions were fairly clear, and the packaging was over the top (double boxed, then wrapped in 1/4" plywood box) All of this for a reasonable price. Highly recommended!.
We've had the door for about seven months. It is difficult to set up. br> Make sure the post is properly blocked with wood. Measure twice, cut once. There was an excessive amount of space between the header and the bottom bar. I had to make a 2-inch cut, and the weld snapped. In the end, I spent $90 on another bar. The glass door must be carried by two people. It has a lot of weight.
This product is fantastic; it arrived in perfect condition and on time. My contractor had never installed a door before, so I contacted customer service, who was fantastic in answering all of my questions and guiding me through the process. When you can build to size, this product is far better (and less expensive) than a custom-made shower door.
