I guess I'm lucky because these rollers appear to come in a variety of sizes. I'm referring to the "thickness" of the unit as well as the diameter of the roller (in this case, 19 mm). I'm assuming it has something to do with the glass thickness (?). In my case, it was a perfect match, and my 12-year-old daughter loved it. Doors that are over a year old still slide like they did 12 years ago! The installation time was less than 15 minutes. If you don't mark the old ones with a magic marker, you won't be able to get them installed correctly, and the door will not close tightly.
My mother has lived in the same house for 55 years. Her tub/shower enclosure has the same sliding doors she's had since she moved in. My husband decided to try these new runners to see if they would work instead of the sliders. He took out every single one of them and replaced them. Every time she calls, she expresses her gratitude for "how well they work. ".
When you spend ten or twenty dollars on something like this, all you can think about is a little plastic and a few bearings. It was about the size of a candy bar in size. You'll come dangerously close to breaking the shower door the first time you shut it after replacing the rollers. After years of forcing it shut until it squeals so loudly you can't stand it anymore, it slides like new, and you forget what that feels like. It was a great purchase that was well worth the money.
It was simple to install and replace the old ones that had become clogged. Because the old ones had a nut into which a wrench could be inserted to help loosen the bolt, I lubricated the bolt before installing it. Overall, I would purchase this product again.
This is a huge improvement. The money I spent to improve the performance of my sliding shower doors was well spent. They became more difficult to slide as time went on, and now they only move with a light touch. Installing it is simple and yields a lot of profit.
They are successful. It would have been nice to have some washers, but it's not a big deal. On that note, I strongly advise you to purchase four washers in addition to this! Ha.
The thread on these rollers is metric. Instead of using the original screws, you must use the ones that come with them. The only drawback is that they come with Phillips instead of 1/4" hex screws.
On one of my sliding shower doors, one of the rollers broke. I placed an order for a set of these. They do a fantastic job. It is very simple to set up. I also have a few spares in case one of the wheels breaks. I'm really happy with these.
