If you're taking a shower, this isn't included. Simply place your order and avoid the hassle. The Menards kit I ordered didn't come with it, so I spent an extra four hours trying to level it and keep the glass from shifting due to the door's weight. This kit was ordered, and it took 20 minutes to level out the shower. It was well worth it.
It performs admirably, has some adjustability, and is simple to set up. It has a nice look to it, too, in my opinion.
It's finished in a classy chrome. With the rubber protector in place, it was difficult to get the metal bracket over the glass. Even after tightening the hex head screws to keep it firmly on the glass, it still wants to tilt.
Pre- re-measured the length to fit into the shower re-measured the length to fit into the shower re-measured model. I discovered the stud and the approximate location of the arm's attachment to the shower door glass. Install the shower door arm as soon as you arrive, and you're good to go!.
It was exactly what I was looking for. It can be cut to the exact length required with a hacksaw. Very solid, Allen screws stay in place, and the hinge has very little slop. I purchased two, but even with just one, it is quite substantial. In any case, I'll include the second additional support.
I was opposed to using a brace with a frameless shower wall, but after the installation was completed and the contractor was nowhere to be found, the 5' sheet of glass appeared wobbly and unsafe. I bought the brace and used a rattle can to spray paint it to match the fixtures. As a glass brace, I used the wall. It's unobtrusive and appears to be part of the hardware. I'm pleased with the results now that the glass is secure. I would strongly suggest it.
The first package arrived open and missing parts; the company promptly sent out a replacement along with a return label; the second package arrived brand new and complete. thanks.
